Even with ratings average, Empire is still handily beating TBBT.
It started at 3.8 and by the third episode was already over 4.4 and kept climbing ridiculously. Its average rating for the season was a 5.0, while TBBT is 4.6. And by the back half of the season, the average was 5.9, which is nigh-unprecendented viewer

I like this. The Emmys are happy because they can keep giving Modern Family and Jim Parsons comedy awards for being popularly meh. And the quality shows now have a shot at winning something.

As a movie, not as a play

I hear Russell Simmons' involvement, and the first thing my mind jumps to is Krush Groove: The Musical. And I don't know how to feel about that.

The trouble and aftermath surrounding it far outweighed the actual movie itself. The only reason I even remembered was because, unlike that one, this project sounds like it could be good satire that will be remembered after a few months.

Oh boy, another comedy about the death of a brutal communist dictator. I'm sure this will be such so much better than the last one a few months ago.
