Might be my personal experience, but to me it seemed like the 3DS XL visuals just looked blocky and pixely, a problem I did not have on my original 3DS. Not to mention that the DPI of the larger screen is just worse than that of the smaller screen, resulting in worse images. I was trying to find a good image that

Probably not, but it's still worth checking out. Again, it's not like I am going to cry my eyes out for a few NES or GB games. Still I like my cartridges so it's not like I'm gonna be doing a whole ton of downloading.

Also, it is not like they are "expanding" our choices once games start coming out that will only work on the N3DS devices ...

I have to check if I can indeed re-download some of the games/programs that I've lost. But I doubt it will work ... when did this change happen?

Then maybe you should edit your original post to say "Americans" and not "Westerners." Also, the whole thing of buying a portable device and playing with it just in your home makes 0 sense to me. But that probably falls to individual consumer preferences.

Well, it might tell them something, but it took a LONG campaign to make them bring the Project Rainfall games Stateside, so one email from Kotaku won't do much, I am afraid.

XL has better image? Have you seen the two side by side! I have, and let me tell you: while the XL might have bigger screens, it also blows out the graphics to fit that screen, producing overall lower quality of image.

That doesn't explain why the regular size version will be available in Australia and Europe.

Shouldn't we protest, or something? Or run Operation Rainfall Vol. 2? If they don't want to put the devices in stores, at least make them available online!

Fair enough. I am generally with you on that (I LOVE PSN, Steam and GOG), but they tie the games to my account. About a year ago, I lost a few games (fortunately only some GB/NES classics that I bought with my Nintendo Club coins) when I swapped devices after my original 3DS broke. Since then I have been boycotting

Nope, the special edition of the N3DS XL for the US (one that can be pre-ordered in GameStop) doesn't include the game. Only the European N3DS comes with MM bundled in.

You buy digital games from Nintendo? Wow ... I thought that given their backward approach of tying your games to a device and NOT the account would put off everyone.

At least this one seems to include the game, unlike the MM edition. Still, I am just so bummed by them releasing only the XL version that I might skip on it altogether.

DO NOT buy that Ideapad. Unless things have changed you cannot even control your fan speed. I have a Winder 2013 Y400 and it's awful. Not to mention that the thing nearly overheats. Rather save those $1000 and buy a decent desktop gaming pc.

No Small N3DS, no power adapter with the big one. No purchase from me! I am sure Nintendo won't miss my money, though. At least I live in Europe now, so if I really want to get the device, I can do it here. But that would suck since all of my games are NTSC.

Except that there is no game packaged with the US version. And no power adapter. Well, at least the folks over in Europe can enjoy things complete.

That's all great, although I am more concerned about the first part of the statement. Experimenting in mobile space doesn't exactly generate a lot of confidence in me.

It probably won't be that long afterwards, since they already push that Ambassador edition, they have to have their devices ready.

Edit, because I am stupid and cannot read.

Want. Definitely want.
