I agree, sometimes it’s safer. And no it doesn’t mean all facilities are staffed with horrible people. There are some great facilities . I worked in one for a while and I saw employees who were wonderful, and others who are burnt out, overworked and underpaid. But even those people cared about the residents

This. How many times do you see people in those facilities because their partner isn’t able to care for them because of their own failing health. Or have family members who send them there because they can’t be bothered

Every now and then I see them here in Maine. It’s everywhere
