This was the first thing that came to mind when I read that.

I'd like to follow your lead and recommend that everyone follow the National Women's History Museum on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/womenshistory). They do exactly what you did-they highlight amazing women in history who have made an impact. The only difference is that they put up daily informational posts.

That probably would have been a good edit to add.

What is it with church's and drama? That was the one thing that killed me about the fact that my parents made me keep going: they knew damn well that a lot of the people there were only Christians on Sundays, but were consistently getting into shit. I honestly don't understand what they expected me to learn from

At least you got that choice-I had to be there every Sunday through senior year of high school. It wasn't until college that I could say I wasn't going without a fight from my dad. Ugh.

The Bible is actually very reasonable. The problems are the people who try to reinterpret it and twist all of it's words into things the Bible doesn't actually say.

PREACH. I will gladly run interference for any of my white friends-because they have the decency to ask first.

So what do they do with the kids if both parents are immigrants? Foster care?

Undocumented women, for example, just can't make that trip without running the risk of getting picked up.

I would, because this exact situation happened in my family. Same ages, but it was an old shotgun that my cousin and his best friend found in our grandfather's attic. Thankfully, he didn't get jail time, but it was just a horrible situation all around.

I agree with you, but on the other hand I feel for Zendaya because it's difficult for all of women of color to find roles. So I wouldn't expect her to turn down a huge one that comes her way-same for the girl they cast in the Jem movie. Hollywood has just made it a shit situation all around it sucks.

You're not alone!

I hate to admit this, but I agree with you. Which is sad, because on the one hand I'm happy we're seeing more young brown women in Hollywood-there haven't been ANY since Keke Palmer almost got big. The last young black women remember in Hollywood were Raven Symone and Kyla Pratt. I feel like there haven't been any

I'm not the only one!

The site of an unkempt Kappa is about as rare as a unicorn.

Usually when you see them, you'll only see their colors. Like in the competition at the end of Stomp the Yard.

Actually most of the black fraternities and sororities have been integrated for decades.

My brother's the same. And he got his current job because of a connection through the other Qs (Ques?) in his city.

Don't feel sorry for his lawyer. The longer the flip flop the more he gets paid. And I don't know if anyone would hold him professionally responsible for having an..."off" client.

I think she's made it clear she wants to stay a senator though, which is personally where I'd like her to stay so she can keep sticking it to Sallie Mae.
