I was referring broadly to the overall thread. Someone else called minority voters stupid, hence the comment. Nonetheless, if you believe this type of argument endears minorities to your candidate, please continue. And the fact is Bernie needs minority votes to win.

I felt back in June, before the BLM protests, that he needed to focus a hell of alot more on Nevada and South Carolina and much earlier on if he was going to curb the “whiteness” narrative. Unfortunately, he didn’t seem to jumpstart his minority outreach until after the protests, which is definitely a bad look.

Look, perhaps you believe calling minority voters stupid and saying they don’t know what’s best is a tactic that will increase minority votes for Bernie Sanders, but something tells me it won’t. Just a hunch.

The real reason why the US has none of the rights people in actual first world countries take for granted is because white Americans identify more closely with race than with class, and will fight like hell to prevent minorities from seeing social benefits.

Something that has alot of appeal to many of us on the left, and plenty of independents as well. I switched from Green to Dem to vote for him (though I’ll switch back after our primary), and I have no issue with him deciding not to run as a “spoiler” candidate. It’s a brilliant move, actually.

It’s patronizing because it places you, random person on the internet, in a position to determine what “is best” for a group of people you are most likely not a member of. If white people really cared what “was best” for minorities, well, we wouldn’t be in this mess.

And all those white folks lining up at Trump and Carson rallies are really the paragons of political brilliance. Please.

I’m pretty sure a “little” case of voter fraud and disenfranchisement in Jeb Bush’s Florida lost Al Gore that election. Interesting how the narrative has changed such that we blame 2.5% of the population for what was clearly a massive failure of democracy on the state and federal levels.

For one, your comment is incredibly patronizing and a huge reason why Bernie lacks enthusiasm amongst the “social justice left,” if you will, is precisely because of bullshit like that.

Loot and enemies do respawn (because there’s no level cap), though I think when depends on the type of location.

Ya know, I think you’re right. I like Quiltbag+, personally.

Two Q’s, two I’s, two A’s. That’s how I’ve remembered it, anyway :)

Caitlyn Jenner is an exception to an exception. She’s rich as fuck and was already well-known before she transitioned. Not fair to use her actions as fodder against an entire group of people.

I didn’t realize you’d be personally offended by me referring to TERFs as full of shit. If you’d like to expound about why lesbians in particular should be so put off by having transpeople in women’s spaces, I’m all ears.

That...warrants no further comment.

TERFs are full of shit. These lesbians are “getting fed up” because they are transphobic. If you’re not familiar with the TERF blogosphere, it’s mindboggingly horrible how they speak about transpeople. Same exact arguments a conservative would use, but couched in quasi-progressive language it becomes that much more

You must’ve missed the fact that the LGBs are separating themselves from Ts, not vice-versa.

I don’t think Bernie is articulate enough about foreign policy to really drive that point home, but I hope he can connect the dots for the public.

The woman’s name and phone number were visible in his original post, and I think that’s why they made him take it down.
