Where with conventional traction control you send too much power to the tire then slip it off through friction plates (or the brakes a la McLaren), you send just shy of what power…

Is it really a “boost” though, and not just there for launches as you can (well, in theory) vector the torque off the line better with a motor than a electric LSD or TC?
