I would love to be able to say that I owned a Reliant Kitten Estate. I’m not sure if I would fit in one in any useful fashion, but I sure would like to own one.

The one and only time I’ve ever been nominally “in control” of a horse was on a trail ride on my honeymoon.
I really should add one to my Corvette-focused diecast collection.
Say what you will about the later C3's, but that is a damn fine looking vehicle.
I can’t begin to tell you how many of the right buttons that wagon pushes.
I’m a Corvette fanboy. That is probably the ugliest production Corvette. First time I saw one, the Corvette recognition center in my brain was lighting up in a positive fashion, while the rest of my brain was all “Kill it with fire!” It was a confusing experience.
My first car was a ‘92 Accord wagon with the 5-speed. Great car and I loved that transmission. The clutch was very grabby which took some getting used to (it was my first 3-pedal experience as well), but it definitely had that “sporty” feel. It was also good having the 5-speed when hauling all my worldly goods over…
Fair enough in that case. Everyday wearing to school socks, though?
Middle school logic right there.
I’m pretty sure I read a peer-reviewed piece about how middle school boys have no fashion sense. I know I didn’t at that age (not that I do now, but I’m a dad, so it’s okay).
Was the gear lever still on the right side of the wheel? If so, it seems like that would make the transition to RH drive a smidge easier. The thought of shifting with my left hand makes my brain hurt (although I suspect that’s one of those things that isn’t so bad once you actually do it).
I like the way you think! The doors already have lighting for when the doors are open, so the extra wiring would be minimal.
Oh man, I would *love* a nifty retro digital dash for my Roadie. Unfortunately the cost and time (because I *know* it wouldn’t work right the first time) to swap something cool in there are hard to justify right now. Might see about putting some LED backlighting in at least. THat’s almost as good, right?
Haha, thanks!
No worries, I read your comment as sincere. I was just enthusing a bit since you seemed like you appreciate the Roadmaster. I also feel like it’s a fairly Jalop car (no manual, but it’s a good car for an automatic, and it’s a good transmission). I live in MN, and still see other Roadies from time to time, but they are…
Hey, if you got the leather seats, you don’t need bolsters. You just drive naked on a warm day and you’ll stick to the seat just fine.
I bought it last November and I absolutely love it. You gotta take it on its own terms, but if you have the right expectations, it’s great (It’s very good at being a Roadmaster).
I actually rather like the seats on my Roadmaster, but very much in a “cruising in my V8-powered leather couch” way. There’s still quite a bit of sliding butt action on the corners.
I’m pretty sure they did just chop the middle out of the split bench. Those are quite similar to the front seats of my ‘94 Roadmaster, which does have a split bench. The look of the seats is different, but the geometry appears to be nearly identical with the same goofy sunken headrest and very token bolstering.
Jordan Taylor is a national treasure. If you’re not following him on your social media platform of choice, you need to fix that right now.
