Was the gear lever still on the right side of the wheel? If so, it seems like that would make the transition to RH drive a smidge easier. The thought of shifting with my left hand makes my brain hurt (although I suspect that’s one of those things that isn’t so bad once you actually do it).

I like the way you think! The doors already have lighting for when the doors are open, so the extra wiring would be minimal.

Oh man, I would *love* a nifty retro digital dash for my Roadie. Unfortunately the cost and time (because I *know* it wouldn’t work right the first time) to swap something cool in there are hard to justify right now. Might see about putting some LED backlighting in at least. THat’s almost as good, right?

Haha, thanks!

If you like your Shakespearean fun in book form, there’s always Romeo and/or Juliet, coming soon:

No worries, I read your comment as sincere. I was just enthusing a bit since you seemed like you appreciate the Roadmaster. I also feel like it’s a fairly Jalop car (no manual, but it’s a good car for an automatic, and it’s a good transmission). I live in MN, and still see other Roadies from time to time, but they are

Hey, if you got the leather seats, you don’t need bolsters. You just drive naked on a warm day and you’ll stick to the seat just fine.

I bought it last November and I absolutely love it. You gotta take it on its own terms, but if you have the right expectations, it’s great (It’s very good at being a Roadmaster).

I actually rather like the seats on my Roadmaster, but very much in a “cruising in my V8-powered leather couch” way. There’s still quite a bit of sliding butt action on the corners.

I’m pretty sure they did just chop the middle out of the split bench. Those are quite similar to the front seats of my ‘94 Roadmaster, which does have a split bench. The look of the seats is different, but the geometry appears to be nearly identical with the same goofy sunken headrest and very token bolstering.

Jordan Taylor is a national treasure. If you’re not following him on your social media platform of choice, you need to fix that right now.

Fair enough...I think I’ve only seen a handful of Caballeros come across CL (and one, maybe two, Sprints). SO I guess I figure the Elky is a bit more likely, plus I like the hood decal a bit better. I mean, dragons!

Holy crap! I have an unhealthy fascination with Elkies. That Royal Knight is absolutely amazing. Some day, I will own an El Camino, and if it doesn’t have that on the hood, it will.

I wonder how Andy Weir feels about the fact that his greatest contribution to culture is apparently the phrase “science the shit out of...”.

Now see, I just put a badge *on* my Buick Roadmaster:

Came to make sure that someone posted this.

Yup. Lived in western NY (near and in Buffalo) for a few years during grad school. Fortunately, when in Buffalo, I had a good working relationship with my mechanic. Once I took my wife’s car to a different shop for inspection and the owner said it needed new brakes before he could pass me. I knew that was bull because

So I think the actual uses of this (i.e.: not golfing) have been adequately covered in the comments. So ignore it as a GOLF cart, and consider it more as a go-cart. It looks like fun!

I don’t really have an opinion about this uniform in particular. I’m just scrolling through the article and comments enjoying looking at attractive people of different genders, ages, and eras in uniforms (in SPAAAACE!). Is that okay?

I haven’t read “Inkheart”, but based on your description and the Amazon page, it looks like there are probably a number of similarities, but many differences. One of the important limitations in Hines’ books is that the libriomancers can’t pull characters from books (with some important loopholes), but they can be
