Enjoyed the video, but as a St. Paul resident, it really emphasizes how much editing goes into this kind of video. Although it could have been much much worse, his trip was rather non-linear. Still, I just watched it with my kids and it was fun to see this kind of hijinks in familiar places.

Without getting spoilery, I’ll just say that the rules change throughout the course of the series.

The series gets better as it goes. I actually agree with your critique in general, but the series is so much fun that I’m willing to overlook some of it. However, you also might find that some of the “larger implications” implications that you mention are dealt with in the later books, and by the end of the 3rd book

Nope. It sounds like you love it exactly as much as you should. The C4 is definitely a product of its time, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great design (I may be biased, being a child of the 80's, the C4 was THE Corvette as far as I was concerned for a long time - one of my favorite Hot Wheels as a kid was a first

I saw the first one not long after it came out, and thought it was absolutely fantastic. I only recently learned of the sequels, so they are definitely on my to-watch list. Thanks!

Thanks! A couple of those are already on my queue, and I’m actually in the middle of Zatoichi (got one more workout left), but I have now added several more to the queue.

I will freely admit to being somewhat baffled the first time I saw Crouching Tiger, just because it was so different from what I was used to in western cinema and I found the wirework distracting. I still enjoyed it and really liked Hero. Lately, however, I’ve really been getting into Asian action/martial arts stuff

Monies, primarily. $50 for Galactus is something I could probably talk myself into.

Please please please do a 12" Galactus!

Everybody doesn’t? That’s how fist-bumps work in my family. Of course, I will admit to channeling Baymax maybe a little more than is strictly normal.

I have a cell phone charger in my ‘94 Grand Caravan. Not very notable, but here’s what makes me a monster: the cigarette lighter on that vehicle is always on! So even when the vehicle is turned off, there’s still a little green LED on the charger being illuminated all the time. That’s not free energy!

My car porn folder needed some new material. Thanks!

I dunno why everybody’s making fun of Buick. I just bought one and I love it:

Having recently acquired a 94 Roadmaster Estate, I agree with you. I actually prefer the older boxy styling of this Merc and the previous generation Caprice, but the LT1 puts a big grin on my face every time I drive my wagon.

My wife isn’t strictly opposed to Elkies, she just doesn’t see the appeal. But I think she’s gonna get a Mini Cooper before I get the Elky.

You and me both...although I just showed it to my wife and she was not impressed. She humored me with the Roadmaster, I don’t think an Elky of any variety is in the works any time soon.

Ah, the circle of life.

I had a few Gobots when I was a kid (the grey F-15 Eagle and the red car in the picture above, as well as a couple others). I was homeschooled and we didn’t watch TV apart from Space Shuttle launches and presidential addresses, so while I knew there were Transformers and Gobots, I was not exposed to much marketing and

I read it as “Exerati”, but I like yours too. Once you start reading the 4 as an A, it almost seems like a real word.

Zemo and Crossbones are both listed on the IMDB page, though, FWIW.
