I share your feelings on “spoilers” (if knowing an ending or a twist or generally anything about a work renders it meaningless to experience, it’s probably not very good to begin with), but I am friends with otherwise perfectly lovely people who will fume for days if they feel some piece of pop culture has been…
Question: does Korea have beverage vending machines every 30 feet or so like Japan does? Because that’s one of the things I miss most about Japan, being able to get a hot canned coffee on a cold day and immediately get another on the next block to warm my pockets with.
Sound point. Also, as Dr. Yap points out, filling cavities isn’t fun. And some cavities smell like death warmed over. I actually asked my dentist about this a decade ago and it’s more profitable (not to mention lower stress) to have a lot of clients with generally good teeth that they can turn over quickly, rather…
I grew up knowing of her mostly from classic SNL episodes that would run after the current eps, and I remember watching a lot of “Kate and Allie” when I was younger, and she’s the earliest epitome of acidic deadpan in my memories. She was a smart woman on TV when there weren’t many to be found. Much respect.
It’s like tequila with an SLA, seems about right.

I talked to a local (northern Alberta) apiarist and even the honey in some areas has been smoke-tainted and is unsellable this year. The weird cool, damp late summer/early fall hasn’t helped anyone at all, either.
All those who saw “dong” say “aye”...
Her opinion of cookies needing to be crisp throughout invalidates any authority she might have on dunking. The ideal chocolate chip cookie has a slightly crisp exterior with chewy interior. And no nuts.
The day after the taping I was talking to the guys from Dethklok about exactly that. It’s a totally nerdy behind-the-scenes thing to notice, but daaaang once you see it, you can’t not think about it every so often.
I really came to appreciate their professionalism and technical abilities after watching a taping - you really miss 95% of the work they do watching a broadcast, and when they do their job well you don’t notice them.
