And it’s not just rodents, there’s recently been speculation that the same parasite might cause the same behavioural changes in humans, too (but further research is required to determine if a causal link actually exists etc. etc. etc.).

My dad was interned in interior British Columbia with his family. I am really really really relieved this is good and I’m hopeful that it’ll strike a chord with at least some viewers who didn’t know what the forced evacuation and internment were like, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to watch it, just because it hits…
Ditto. I was pretty sure with the crew and cast on board that they wouldn’t release anything mediocre or worse, but I’ve been let down before. My weekend just got 3138% better.
a) I don’t watch Pokemon, but those are definitely onigiri and it’s making me hungry.
Lloyd Cole is channeling some old OMD and I am all here for it.
a) I am so goddamn happy to see Missy again.

These two thoughts bookend his “stream of consciousness” on this page and they seem somehow apt:
Trilingual == three times as hot now. Just sayin’.
It’s weird and awesome to me to see Simu Liu blow up and people talking about Kim’s Convenience because a) it’s a CBC show, and b) it feels like a show that was made for me and exactly three of my friends (one of whom is Korean and had a family convenience store).
Ed Sheeran? Imagine Dragons? The Weeknd?
Nah, man, straight girl with a need for speed is happy.
I swear they issue every Japanese woman over 70 that vest that her grandma (on the left) is wearing. Even my Ferragamo-shoe-and-Lagerfeld-skirt-owning-mom owns one but swears she has no idea where she bought it.
A good friend of mine was convinced for YEARS that INXS’ biggest hit was called “Soup Inside the Bone”, and she had somehow completely avoided their other hit called “Suicide Blonde”, even after seeing them live.
This looks not-terrible. I remain cautiously optimistic.
There were a handful of nightmare fuel monsters, and more than a few “ok, seriously?” entries. Also the Drow weren’t even the most interesting part of the AD&D module they came from.
I had no idea of its history, but now I can tell you it was what turned out to be ultimately a failed venture between TSR and TSR UK that consisted of monsters from submissions to White Dwarf magazine. Which explains why a good proportion of them just flat out sucked.
Those early monsters were somehow so simple, but geez some of them freaked out pre-tween me. And of course now I’m LOOKING THEM ALL UP to see if I can thrum that nerve JUST A LITTLE MORE I’M LOOKING AT YOU TIRAPHEG
I’m creeped out by it because it’s bringing back memories of reading the D&D 1st edition Fiend Folio about the penanggalan, but I’m also really intrigued by what the mechanism is behind it.
