Mais non, pas du tout! C'etait tres clair!

Plus, it's a really fast read. It's my favorite story and I have the book in many languages.

Yeah, but then if you're giving this person a gift this year you probably will next year, too, right? Now you're set for life! You never have to think about their gifts ever again! I do this for my nieces and it counts for both birthday and christmas!

Himself? A lot of post are written in the same style.

Actually, as a former Montrealer, let me tell you there's one thing people up there loved back then: hockey and wrestling! I'm afraid he's correct the Hart family was well liked and Bret Hart was *loved* no doubt! This event was HUGE the next day!

Plus, doesn't she get to go to the ball twice? Arising suspicion from her step-family on her second outing?

I knew this story as Cendrillon, Cendr being taken out of cendres which means ashes.

Cinderella is actually not her real name (in the original story) but was a mean nickname given to her by her evil step-mother/step-sisters. Disney reclaimed the whole story and made a lot of things disappear in order to sanitize the story a bit.

Ha, ha! Was working on it than I saw that pic! Why me so slow... :-/

Indeed! So sorry, I meant to say that I agree with your post and that Cleuci's work was great! Multitasking (or failing at it rather!).

Agree. This is a very powerful, interesting and informative piece. I was hoping for such after the post about the cancelled exhibit. I had mixed feelings about it and, somehow, it brought me back to Saartje. I think there might be another layer with the Dutch name, if I'm not mistaken.

Wasn't that the one where you could operate email via hand gestures! LOL! I had a bunch of faculty doing these things in the Faculty Lounge! OMG! It was so funny it was ridiculous! I even had the blind Professor do it and he was the only one who didn't get mad!

I don't know... There seem to be a lot of fantasies in this here thread! The more I'm reading the more this is turning into Penthouse Forum!

I thought either they had or were working on such features?!

The most cringe-worthy wrongly distributed message I've heard about must have been the one in The Little Mermaid story from this American Life. I love it in a cringe inducing itchy skin embarrassment for life feeling for a kid I'll never meet.

Wow, you're relentless, aren't you? He's got an excuse with being unemployed and being in school what's your excuse?

Gunneh, this is not going to work. Some Americans have never been to other countries or even have friends from other countries and because of their educational system (even at the uni level) they have such a hard time understanding that other lands have other rules and cultures which affects individuals differently.

I am blown away by the mutilators and wonder how they are on the street. We had an extreme one and... shudder...

Not much more, I can assure you.

When I was more of a lurker, I connected with a lot of your comments. My "eyes" perked up because of your avatar/name... JeebusCripes that movie scared me so much I never watched it a second time. The book's on my shelf and been there for maybe 30 years or more. Won't read it... where's that octopus?
