Counterpoint: This season of X-Files was like any other season of X-Files and I loved it to bits.

I loved the new score. It was precisely as emphatic as Star Wars. Rey’s Theme is as wonderful an illustration of her character as The Force Theme is of Luke’s. There was no Imperial March analogue because there was no Imperial March in Star Wars (it debuted in TESB).

I am really hoping that she’s just a random Force-sensitive, mostly because I don’t think the main thread of every movie needs to be a three-generation Skywalker soap opera...

then, why leave ? Just die here!

Are you thick-headed? The context surrounding all of this a 10+ year dual war in two countries that amounted to squat. NO ONE WANTS TO GO TO WAR. Especially over in the Middle East again. Bush spent the war capital on Iraq and Afghanistan; the bank is empty.

Cats do not meow much when feral or raised the wild. they meow to humans because we socialize them to respond vocally. they typically do not meow to each other as adults. all the other noises, however....yup. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat_commu…

Muppet Christmas Carol is my favorite Muppet movie, my favorite version of A Christmas Carol, AND my favorite Christmas movie. It’s got absolutely everything. It’s weird but people get on these swings of really hating on the Muppets for being the same as they’ve always been. Which could be a problem, I guess, but it’s

And it evolved into a team. The legacy extends beyond two men.

I never understood this line of thinking.

Well that’s a somewhat bombastic assessment.

I can’t believe he’s been dead for nearly two decades already. His murder wrecked me as a kid.

Rest in peace Phil Hartman, you magnificent bastard.

Night Shift was the first actual book I read when i was about 8 or so. My mom had it laing around, and i was fascinated by the cover, with the eyes on the hand wrapped in cloth. I didnt read it in order. I read The Boogeyman first and it freaked me the hell out. I loved it and was hooked.

Yeah, if you want to introduce someone to King, give them a copy of Night Shift, never fails.

His literary skills have been on display on several occasions, which some won’t acknowledge, but most especially for me in ‘Salem’s Lot which starts as a truly well-written homage to a small Maine town and the style of life there before the vampires show up.

I’m not a big Stephen King fan, but his book “On Writing”, about the process and skill of writing, as well as serving as a memoir, was excellent.

Me, too. That event and Ted Bundy made me almost neurotic in my fear of crossing parking lots at night or any empty lonely space. Who could you trust? Some successful-looking handsome man? No. Would those people hanging around over there help if someone attacked? No. Better be extremely careful of your surroundings,

I think it's a thinly veiled jab at student loans

Well, if we’re going to play that game, the Merril Collection of the Toronto Public Library has over 72,000 items. One of them was mine because they bought a first edition Stephen King from me, years and years ago.
