Maybe i'm not paying close enough attention, but i'm not seeing that much of a difference between 4 and 5. 1 to 2 was a dramatic difference. 2 to 3 was noticeable if not as dramatic. 3 to 4 was a huge leap. 4 to 5.....eh. Seems like they could have just added a something in front of Super Ultra Hyper Mega Whatever

They announced the game but never announced platform and they certainly never demoed it. All we had was an announcement trailer and a ton of assumptions. Pre-orders are all handled by retailers. If they don't have word from publishers, they make a guess and open up preorders and simply refund the preorder if their

They didn't confirm anything, as far as i can remember. Everyone assumed it was coming out for all platforms due to the previous game, bit i don't thing the announcement trailer ever mentioned consoles.

Yeah, pretty different. TR will likely find its way to PS4 and PC eventually. SF will never find its way to XBOne. If anything, people should be MORE ticked about this situation, and yet the response has been fairly muted in comparison to the vitriol the TR announcement got. Blatant double-standards and, as usual,

Hurt feelings over MS stupidity aside, Necro has a valid point...there's a ridiculous amount double-standarding going on, here. One could argue this situation is WORSE than what happened with TR, since this game isn't likely to ever make it to the XBOne whiles TR is still likely to find its way to the PS4,

    Just a few questions...

Have to say, i agree with these other guys. These groups do this for attention. If Kotaku HAS to give them that attention, it should probably be in a way that removes any and all potential 'glory' they may get out of it.

I think the opinions deserve to be heard, but they also need to be called out when they're hateful, malicious, bigoted and the like and the perpetrators should never be rewarded for being asses. We don't want to censor anyone's legitimate views, but neither do we need to tolerate assholery...

I agree with the sentiment, but the problem and the solution lies with the community. Devs can say and sign whatever they want, but if the gaming community lets hateful behavior go unchallenged, it's just going to keep on happening.

As much as retailer specific pre-order incentives annoy me, if the publisher eventually makes things available for everyone at some point and the incentives are largely aesthetic and don't affect gameplay too drastically, I'm willing to give them a pass. What I can't stand is when a publisher re-releases a game with

If i were his lawyer, considering how it was his mouth that got him in trouble, i wouldn't allow him to say ANYTHING until all the legal stuff has shaken itself out. I wouldn't take his silence as proof that she's telling the truth just yet, and any statement she makes is suspect considering how much trouble she

It wasn't his 'fuck-up'. A private conversation was recorded by a third party and released to the public and the lifetime ban came about due to that release. Sterling, as reprehensible as he is, has a right to privacy and that right was violated by a third party, and he's going to have to deal with the financial and

Anonymity + propensity for knee-jerk reactions + mob mentality + insatiable appetite for drama = the internet today...

Here's the rub, though. Sterling didn't say what he said publicly. These statements were made in a private conversation that was surreptitiously recorded and leaked publicly for personal gain. Olin has a point. Sterling has a right to be an idiotic bigot in his own home just like we have a right to hate that he's

You're calling his stuff half-assed, yet he's the one who took the time to make these while most of the people shitting on it around here didn't even bother making the attempt...we can be better, people. Stop being stereotypical internet assholes, going out of your way to shit on someone else's efforts for no reason.

Perhaps he stopped playing after RB but still has fond memories of the game, so he decides to stick with what nostalgia left him with. What does it matter that there are several games beyond it? This was his project and it was his choice. If you guys think you know of better combinations, make your own. Don't shit

"Latching on to the original generation is a bit immature."

A moment of silence for all the hours that will likely be lost to this game...

So much bitching and moaning about the fact that the guy made a decision to stick with Gen1 pokemon. If you guys don't like the choices he made, make your own damn logos instead of being dicks about it. Unbelievable...

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with pokemon fans, nowadays? "Genwunners" are the reason why the franchise was popular enough to even get sequels...kids these days...
