Will the 5.9 Limited be more or less of a classic?
If we’re talking about new cars, there’s still plenty of ways to do this. Rent one from Turo for two days.
Yay, Kimi would have a shot at stuff again, lol. I was happy he seemed to be getting his mojo back at the end of the last season, though bummed that he’s likely getting ready to bow out of F1. At least he’ll be in a pretty car this season.
That went over real well in France considering it disproportionately affects poor people
AWD Minivans!
People still want 3 rows. I don’t think 4Runner/Rav4 currently offer 3rd row.
Same story when I went looking for a Regal Tour X wagon recently. Apparently, there wasn’t a SINGLE one on Buick lots in the Houston metro area. The nearest one was at a dealer over three hours away. The salesman kept trying to push me to look at the endless sea of blah-tastic crossovers parked out front. When will…
We also have a crossover with a slope-back. In case you feel like a traditional crossover is too roomy and too practical.
Is the F-150 really a truck anymore? People all buy quad cab versions, haul their kids around, and never tow anything. They’re all $70k luxury SUVs with the bed as a styling feature at this point.
This! Mitsubishi wanted to know if i’d buy another and I sad no because you stopped making cars. Their whole lineup is a conglomeration of a Cuv, a larger CUV, and an even larger CUV.
The Highlander is basically a minivan that’s made less functional and more ‘tarted up’ so it doesn’t look like a minivan. I genuinely don’t get why those things sell at all. Either you hate minivans, in which case just get a 4Runner or Rav4 because the first is what you want and the second is what you can afford…
Same when I wanted my 330 xiT. They’re all like why don’t you want an X3?
So much this!
Right but the crossover efficiency requirements are lumped together with the likes of body on frame SUVs and trucks. They are classified as utility vehicles and as far as the regs are concerned help offset the requirements of trucks rather than hurt cars
1st Gear: Yes, car makers are making too many cars, but not just that, they are making too many of the same car.
What they mean is that it might cut into profits, and more importantly executive salaries, slightly and they don’t want to give up a little money for a greater good. It is the good old American “screw you, I got mine” attitude at work, yet again.
I was all for direct sales but it never occured to me that the huge costs associated with the model were baked into the price of the car. Traditional manufacturers that “outsource” sales to the franchise dealerships don’t have to worry so much about that. I hate dealerships, but I think Tesla did the right thing in…
No, there is not a practical necessity. Yes, it’s for revenue. For one, all the illegal, unmanned “red light” cameras would have a harder time sending speeding tickets without the ability to photograph a front plate.
Because of a car you can’t buy yet and won’t be able to buy here for a pretty long time?
