Um, the main story WAS the focus of the show.

Where are all these haters coming from? I’m surprised. Hacks was so, so good. I genuinely loved the hell out of it.

Well it serves him right for stealing Dev Patel’s horse, cursing Colin Farrell’s children with a supernatural disease, and fighting with Cillian Murphy during a perilous maritime rescue operation.

I could totally grok a Stranger In A Strange Land movie, as long as it stays true to the book.

I’m still waiting for an adaptation of Stranger In A Strange Land.

I’m still in the grey, but yes, I also would put money on Mark for the exact same reasons you state.

What would constitute having “heard” of this to you? Obvious all the AV Club coverage doesn’t count so I’m legitimately curiously.

Shane was gazing morosely/sullenly/petulantly at the casket, which makes me think it’s Armond.

Doesn’t Shane answer yes when the couple ask him if he’s headed home?

I really hope Quinn makes it out alive. That little teenage weirdo has grown on me. I am a little surprised that nobody mentioned Mark Mossbacher as the potential death. That would seem like the kind of move a show like this would make. Let the guy get a little bit of his self respect back, then off him. But I would

Mare of Easttown apparently learned nothing from Big Little Lies and will grunt and strain and contort itself to shit out another season (based on some “incredible new idea” that Brad Inglesby just happened to have in his noggin right after HBO offered him an 8-figure development deal), instead of letting a great show

This was pretty good. The young cast seems really solid, very funny without feeling like they’re trying to hard for it. I’m on board.

That’s what I really didn’t get...  It speaks volumes to me that Paula, a smart college student, would just assume Kai not only could pull it off but... would have or be able to find connections to fence the bracelets?  Wha?

Fun, tense episode. It says something (I’m not sure what) that as awful as these characters are, I’m kind of rooting for them. Except for Shane of course. And Olivia.

he’s great in PIG.

I didn’t see Hereditary (I generally don’t like horror movies) and I don’t think I’ve seen Alex Wolff in anything else, but he was really good in Pig.

Hopefully Emily in Paris can get the recognition it deserves after its snubs at the Golden Globes.

Or Real Genius. Or Top Secret!

I knew I wasn’t crazy. I was living in Pittsburgh right before Jackass started getting on air on MTV, and the first sous chef I worked for introduced me to CKY probably a few weeks before the first episode aired. He had all their DVDs and I think we binged one every night for at least two weeks (counting repeats, of

Am I wrong in still believing that Jackass was based on CKY? The pre-Jackass that was based in rural Pennsylvania?
