Probably because the guy that created and wrote the show also wrote Rogue One and all of the Bourne movies. Tony Gilroy is one of the top political-thriller/spycraft writers of all time.

I’m mostly in agreement with everything you said. In addition to “best Star Wars” ever, how would you compare it similar political-military scifi shows? BSG, Expanse, ST:DS9

When keeping it real goes wrong
The actions that she took when she was alive both contribute value to her estate and remove value from her estate. Her last act removed a lot of value by seriously impacting an innocent person. If she had put all her money in an ill advised investment scheme right before she died would we make an argument that her…
How does this supplant things like SmartLife or HomeAssistant? Asking honestly because these things work “pretty good”. Or is it supposed to supplant things like Z-Wave? What is the bucket it fits into?
I don’t play any of these games, but am very familiar with video RPG and some RPG tabletop from my younger years. I don’t have the time, network or inclination to get involved anymore, but I like that idea and would probably watch it as long as I could figure out what they were talking about.
Romulan definitely would have been interesting, but they maybe would have needed to replace Tuvok...or maybe the interplay between two facets of that culture would have been really interesting. Klingon had already been done with TNG so no new dynamics there. I think Maquis was a time-and-place thing for the writers to…

Exactly. These movies are...I dunno....fine, I guess. Is this Harry Potter or something? Please try to distinguish between dubbed foreign Netflix imports and this.
That’s a serious crime. I owned the season 1-2 DVD box set that I bought in 2008 and I think it has all the music. Also, later editions of the DVD release appear to be of extremely low quality based on recent Amazon reviews. I think I gave away the DVDs to Goodwill amidst a physical media cleansing of a few years ago…
Something is crazy here, and it ain’t the “standards”.
Good apology. Not great, not terrible. Moving on.
Bring back John Wesley Shipp!
Indeed. Dummy rounds have little ball-bearing-like material in the round instead of gunpowder that rattles when you shake it. Standard procedure for dummy rounds is to shake each one to listen for the rattling sound before loading the gun. This is usually done by the armorer and production supervisor together before…
I think of Buffy and Star Trek: Voyager. I am truly old
There is so much that is wrong with this.
Go is a lot more complex in variations than chess, but eventually it may proceed down this route as well. Though, given the permutations in Go, it’s possible the human brain can’t memorize enough strategies to matter.
