Not getting a 4th season wasn't HBO's fault. The blame lies with David Milch, creator and writer of Deadwood. He grew tired of the show and wanted to work on another show, John In Cincinnati, which was a total piece of shit.

In his defense, Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd had successful careers before working with him. Although I should mention that he cast his kids in this movie too. That is clearly nepotism.

So when is the casting notice going out for funny writers?

What offends me is not that there aren't minorities in the show. That's Ms. Dunham's right as a self-centered douche. What offends me is that she claimed she didn't notice the lack of POC until she was editing the show. So the entire time she wrote and shot the series, she didn't notice? Bullshit.

Peter Scolari and Tom Hanks in Bosom Buddies were more realistic than this show.

I've tried to verbalize why this show sucks oh so much. Thank you for doing it for me, albeit in a much classier way. As much as I want this show to fail, it would only serve to make it that much harder to have a edgier female-driven comedy on cable.
