In the long run (I am talking life long effects) I think you did what was right for your child. The few months of maturity make a huge difference and he has other challenges as well. He has the advantage that his parents are looking out for him and working with the schools (many children do not). Best wishes to all.

I keep an eye on the gauge and once it drops between quarter and half, I fill up on a Tuesday/Wednesday when gas is least expensive and stations are least crowded.

Old ladies KNOW stuff. I taught my former husband how to drive a manual (although he would never admit that) since I was the one with the manual transmission car. It didn’t work out, but it wasn’t because of a clutch.
