Horse IS the best for roses...
Try determining what part(s) of the job you hate the most; the people you work with, the duties, the company, your supervisor, etc. and see if you can work on changing any of those parts of it, or how you do them to make it less awful to face every day. Even in a bad situation, the effort you make to do well in it is…
I work less then 5 miles from this plant, and being an unusually warm February day today, I had my windows down. As I waited to turn onto 76, there is a gas station that is always packed and usually bustling and you hear a lot of music, etc., but today it was quiet and no one really saying anything. The local mood was…
At the opposite end of the day, seeing my semi-made (neat) bed and my fluffy pillow waiting for me is pure pleasure. I tell it how I have missed it as I slide in and fade to ZZzzz...
Old habits die hard, so I more throw the covers loosely back over it and not so much make it up, but I do fluff the pillow up and lovingly tell it that I will be back to it as soon as possible.
I have really old one in my basement...I am waiting for a riot to break out so I can volunteer it for the bond fires in the streets.
Update on that...
Me, as a 19 year old car salesperson, walking back to the dealership from a test drive, where a very well qualified older man took a New Yorker out and then when we were far enough away (in a semi rural area) he said if I wanted to go back to the shop and sell him that car he and I had to do some business in the back…
I almost got a panic attack from just reading that. I cant even watch that show “Hoarders” on television, it literally causes me to hyperventilate and if I don’t turn it off right away, I go full on panic.
AGREED. People have a right to keep their homes how they see fit, but, they often don’t realize the impact on others, even their own children, who would be ashamed to have a friend over and have to live in a disordered and chaotic environment. It is not healthy physically or mentally, and like you, I remove myself…
Mold loves dark, warm, humid areas with no air flow, so after you wet vac up as much water as you can, turn on the lights, keep it as cool/cold as possible, cut the humidity (non-swamp AC works well for this if you don’t have a de-humidifier) and run multiple fans so that the air in the area moves in a circular…
I hate to be painfully old school, but, if they want to know if you are a real person, can’t you just tell them to call you to hear your voice? If someone declined doing that, I would simply block that number assuming it was a scam.
Yes, especially since they list masturbation; we are all doomed. Going to be “a hell” of a party though.
Check around for rates and types (they are not all the same benefit). Ask your home/auto insurer, too. I get a discount on home and auto by having a life policy with the same company.
Don’t forget that (someplace) there should be a written procedure or instructions and refer the incompetent back to it, and if there isn’t such documentation, that is also a good way to shed light on the real issue of lack of directions/their need of updating, laziness or true incompetence.
I am waiting for the chubby dude in the red suit to deliver it.
Dad was an auto worker, all my friends dads were too, some from GM Lordstown, some at Ford Engine in Cleveland the rest from Chrysler stamping in Twinsburg. I grew up in the car culture of Northern Ohio and its still alive and well with classics lining up at cruise nights all summer.
SO jealous of that track. I have been asking Santa for a track every year since I was a kid and he has never delivered. Now I see why, he took it to your house instead. Lucky devil.
I tend to have a long fuse, I try and find the root cause, fix it, etc., but once I reach the point of explosion (out of sheer frustration) pull up a chair and enjoy the fireworks. Its almost never a person, but a situation (often something mechanical).
I agree and would only use the “plow” on driveway etc. I also have a lot of oaks and the leaves don’t break down. I also take care to not remove the acorns since they are food source for the hundreds of squirrels that live in those oaks (and raid my bird feeder if they can’t access their acorn stash).
