This gets brought up and beat to death in every thread, but that is the exact opposite of what's happening here. The whole issue is that their old model naming was like BMW where they had V-Sport but now they’re doing the equivalent of calling the M340i the new M3 and then promising a way faster M3 after public

FWD and that motor. You would die.

Why make an actual halo car when you can keep putting angular headlights and Cadillac badges on Chevy crossovers?

That has way more to do with the products than the unions. All those German carmakers are unionized back home in Germany. As are the Korean makers. Unions didn’t hold them back, because their products sell themselves.

And you realize that unions came into being because corporation were becoming horrible, bad people killing ideas. Have they gone a bit to far? Yes, but the way businesses are starting to act towards their workers these days I see a resurgence in their popularity.

He gets at least a B+ for an unhinged imitation of a College Republican freshman reading Ayn Rand for the first time...

me so sorry. u win LOL fam. #fleek

C- for reading comprehension. C- for millenials. A+ for jumping straight to murder!

Say what you want but that’s a damn good looking hearse!  I’d be caught dead in that 😂

I would argue that the Buick Lacrosse is what the Cadillac XTS should have been. After 2017, the Lacrosse was built on a stretched Malibu chassis that was exclusive to the Buick Lacrosse only. The Cadillac XTS was slightly redesigned but rode on the same chassis as it did in its 2013 debut.

It had sales, but not enough to sustain a production line on its own. And the three cars together didn’t have the sales to sustain a factory.

Good Riddance, Front Wheel Drive Full Size Cadillacs and their (post-1985) transverse mounted engines!

Here we go, time to listen to all the capitalism stans shit on the GM workers for wanting reasonable treatment from an employer who’s profiting billions on their labor.

Art and Science began nicely; look at the CTS circa 2008. Then the “focus groups” came back in and decided everything needs to be toned down (in other words, more anonymous). So now Cadillac is right back where it was before Art and Science.

“And, while it’s not all Cadillac’s fault that it has to go after new buyers, it probably shouldn’t label the same old, same old as one of its attempts to do so.”

What did you expect them to say? Just because the auto industry spent the last 10 years going through a renaissance with each new model, it doesn’t mean we

Guess I’m in the minority. I love Cadillacs. They don’t look like Benz’s, BMW’s and Audis, that all look like one another. They’re distinctive and very attractive to me and I’m a younger buyer. Don’t get the new obsession with Lincolns either.

It’s a RWD GM platform, the LS/LT engines will fit.

The reason Cadillac started chasing the Germans is specifically because Americans haven’t wanted American luxury in decades. It’s fundamentally why most American luxury brands are dead and the few who linger appeal to older demographics.

Man, you are quite the unapologetic apologist.

Came here to say this.
