Good point. It doesn’t fit all the amateur brand prognosticators narrative, though.

FYI
I hope you’re right. I believe that for North America, killing Dodge/Chrysler while keeping Fiat and Alfa would be a huge mistake... in terms of profits and market share.
I hope you’re right!
And simply use the Alfa Romeo RWD/AWD platform for a new Charger/Challenger.
Stellantis: Tavares’ statement leaves more questions than answers.
I can assure you that the death of the Chrysler and Dodge brands is being greatly exaggerated in the media. Stay tuned. Some pretty cool shit is in the works for both of those brands along with Jeep and Ram.
Wait, you’d push Dodge into the faux luxury spot Chrysler sits in now and bring in something to under cut it by selling cars?
Frankly, I think it’s kinda dumb to kill Chrysler. Peugeot and Citroen need an American distribution chain for their European products. Chrysler is desperately starved for product. It seems like a match made in heaven.
That’s ok, it’s fair. I’m also mad the new Supra isn’t a 2+2 Toyota.
In an offroad setting an N/A V8 offers advantages over a turn turbo V6. From a power standpoint they may not be much different but a simpler engine is preferable when you’re far away from society. Turbo engines create more heat, have a lot more moving parts to break, have difficult packaging to work on, etc...
KIA never marketed the Stinger as a sports car. It’s a GT car, comfortable for long rides and powerful enough to be entertaining to drive. I guess they didn’t tell all the automotive writers.
Is this the RWD V8 version?
Lexus should have killed the uglier, albeit better selling, ES and made all of those buyers get the RWD of the GS.
Nope. This is for the supposed performance spec, 300 is what you find on a Camry. No thanks.
True, its not enough HP, but it perfectly follows Honda/Acuras history of conservative reliable engineering. Honda has never really participated in horsepower wars to stay competitive; their foundation is quality, engineering and reliability which as it turns out beats HP in the long run from my experience.
“I’m excited for a new legacy of sporty Acuras, and this engine is expected to make over 300 horsepower, which is probably enough!”
No
I haven’t heard anyone from GM pronounce it but if I was going to guess I’d say it’s pronounced “Celes-teek” and Lyriq being just like lyric but just go try and copyright an established word.
Were you guys snubbed from the event or something?
Sales numbers or not, If you think Acura has more cultural significance than Cadillac in the US, you’ve got some pretty big blinders on there pal.
