But he WAS the larger Peter Jackson
But he WAS the larger Peter Jackson
Any time he breaks out the voices it's huge. The clip of him on Kimmel (I think) talking about the irate phone call he received while at MTV from a guy who thought the show was called "Porky's Butthole" and whose voice inspired Boomhauer…classic. Zach Galifianakis is the other guest and he can't stop laughing.
Yeah, how did that "you bug me" get through? I wonder if they had to cut the real reason for time and that was the best they could come up with on the spot.
This fall on Fox…THE DISHES ARE DONE MAN! *canned laughter*
Google Image Search of her might make you fall out of your chair
I thought it ironic since Ms. Winter looked particularly, er, restricted in this episode.
I think you misread my comment. I'm agreeing with you. I thought the article was bunk.
ETA: Reading it back, very badly worded since I said "you" but there was a heavy dose of sarcasm in there and the "you" meant the collective that thinks Larson was making an anti-Affleck statement.
Very clever how you can just say "didn't clap" = "refused to clap" and ignore the rest of her actions. By clever I mean stupid. Incredibly stupid.
For sure. There's a lot of "remember when Conan did this?" discussion just short of "isn't Conan dreamy?"
PTA's Boogie Nights commentary is fun. Can't remember if he also does a solo one, but the one that cuts between him watching it with various cast members is great. Mostly they're just doing stuff around their house or maybe eating and half watching the movie with PTA asking them questions. I don't think he's done one…
Yeah, and good on Soderbergh for letting him air his grievances.
That's good, cause I remember the Anchorman commentary being funny but they spent most of the time saying "NO ONE LISTENS TO THESE!"
One of my favorite jokes comes from Conan's commentary — can't remember if he did more than one. One of the other writers is mocking the bad sitcom convention of having characters wait until they're back home or whatever the main set is to talk about what just happened in the previous scene even though they more than…
So true. Such a good idea to always have someone else with him in the booth, usually another filmmaker (or in the case of Schizopolis he's talking with himself as if there are two of him). I believe he does the Point Blank commentary with John Boorman as well. At one point I think I just started buying DVDs because he…
Mirkin is so great. I remember he even says a goodbye to the listeners after his time on the show was over. I was sad!
THC making fun of his hair and whole look in every scene was hysterical. I remember him describing his hair as "Michael Landon-esque" and at one point saying "Jesus, look at my face. It's huge. The phrase Lantern-Jawed comes to mind."
I laughed really hard when Barry was having his hair dyed "why are you rubbing your eyes?!" "because you told me not to and I'm anti-establishment!"
I wondered what RD Robb was doing these days. Last I heard of him he was being sued by DiCaprio and Maguire for trying to release his directorial debut Don's Plum…
True, but I'm sure Apatow had a hand in breaking the story for Forgetting Sarah Marshall as he does with most films/shows he produces.
Not saying comedians can't dispense philosophical statements, but so can novelists, essayists, and numerous others. I don't know if they should shoot for that, but if it's a byproduct of their comedy, more power to them.
That makes me feel better. I'm a fan of the guy, but any time he pops up in something I'm like, "damn that guy blocked me."
