I'm not saying he does, but there are dozens of other guys who don't have that status either but still try to project that image.

He was in the Sam Raimi one. He was Hilary Swank's abusive husband.
Yes! Every so often Kurt Loder would do a special segment on actors who had music careers and they would show the above described clip of Keanu.
"Change the world!" *hits single bass note* - the only clip MTV News ever showed of Dogstar

I was about to say this too! Perfect casting, and you can't help but like him.
Very true. i remember going to see that movie in high school for one reason and one reason alone, but Reeves' performance impressed the hell out of me.
I think Constantine is a solid movie and Reeves is great in it. I know fans of the comic probably don't dig it or his casting, but as a standalone movie, it's a lot of fun.
WHAT A GREAT DEAL
WHAT A GREAT FIND
LOOK AT THESE JEANS
DAMN I LOOK SEXY AS HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLL
I saw them in Baltimore in like 2000 and they were amazing. Also my hearing was probably shot thanks to the opening bands (Korn/Kid Rock/Powerman 5000). Also someone died at the concert! SO METAL.
I have to say, it is somewhat refreshing that he doesn't feel obligated to try to still protect his image as some metal god. I guess he gave that up around the time he let the documentary show him selling a Basquiat at auction and sipping champagne.
Right. I think they at the very least would push him to do test screenings and things to edit it into something watchable. I also think New Line is involved, so they may insist on a higher level of quality than Franco is used to.
And if you've tried reading any of his fiction, you can see that he's likely been coddled in his MFA courses. I only took two semesters of grad level creative writing and it wasn't at a top school, but most of his stuff would have been laughed out of my class, or at least harshly critiqued.
hard to believe that Franco's friend, who had until recently starred in only bad TV, short films, and Franco's own films, wasn't up to the challenge of playing that character.
Someone once described Franco's films as what the Max Fischer Players' movies would likely have looked like. I disagree. Max Fischer had more talent.
Rogen and Evan Goldberg are producers which…look, I know not all their films are gems, but they're all watchable to some degree, which can't be said about Franco's directorial efforts. Maybe they'll raise the standards a little? Here's hoping.
And filmed a scene! With Luke Perry?????
He's bought the rights to film three of my old writing professor's books and it's kind of a bummer, cause they could really could be something special, but in Franco's hands they have no chance.
Isn't the whole thing shot in split screen? Jesus that sounds dull.
yeah, never get hot chicken outside Nashville. I'm not sure how this guy gets to call his chicken authentic but it sounds like a marketing gimmick. Really the only place to bother with is Prince's and Hattie B's, maybe Bolton's. I think one of those places might be opening an LA location, but I'm still not sure I'd…
