He was definitely the man. Just a much poorer man than he is now.

I was MySpace friends with Danny McBride when he had only been in All The Real Girls and was trying to promote Foot Fist Way before anyone had seen it. No idea what compelled me to friend him other than I thought he seemed like a funny dude and I was huge into David Gordon Green's movies at the time. Don't remember

Chinese restaurants aren't exactly known for their original or creative names. I had one near my high school called "Yum Yum Good Food". That's not a joke, that's literally what it was named.

The cast doesn't seem any crazier than any ensemble movie, e.g. the last few Wes Anderson movies. This isn't even Ocean's 11 level star power we're talking about.

Usually when people say "the duration" they mean until the thing itself ends.

I didn't know Pierre's recliner had even made it to TBS! I'm not watching enough.

Yeah, but Oprah also didn't rely quite as much on celebrity guests (really only big names or names that would really apply to the housewives demo came on IIRC) and built her show in Chicago from the ground up. And because she was such a ratings powerhouse among women, the celebrities had to go on there to make sure

Yeah the whole thing where Conan left the Michaels produced Late Night for a non-Michaels produced Tonight Show, got fired, and then Michaels subsequently took over the new Tonight Show probably didn't sit well with either party (less so with Conan). Would be interesting to see him take on Michaels like that, but I'm

I wish during that documentary he made that any time there was a moment the viewer might feel bad for him they just scrolled his bank statement along the bottom of the screen.

Surely. I'm certain his old pal Lorne Michaels—who helped him out the door while Jimmy Fallon was walking in—would love to have him back.

Is it the old timey baseball segment? I love his disgust with the woman who is super in character.

There was a Vice interview with Michael C. Moynihan where he talked about it some.

I can't believe he's only hosted SNL the one time. That episode was fantastic.

I still do that with any box that will fit. I'm a silly man.

Greatest character ever.

Andy is on Pete Holmes' podcast this week and essentially said he sees what Conan goes through and isn't interested in that at all. I imagine he'd rather be acting anyway.

Yes, that was good. I wish he still did that. Good Jack White one too.

He definitely seems to be getting crankier. It used to be cranky in a charming way, now it's just cranky in an old guy who's had enough of this shit and is dealing with low budget bullshit way.

His show is funnier than those but it hasn't ever felt the same since he left Late Night. I'm kinda glad he's doing something different. I think he's getting sick of the endless guest interviews and he's never been terribly good at them unless it's with someone he's already got a rapport with. But I agree it's sort of
