To me it WAS indeed off but it's in keeping with Mitchell's character. We know Mitchell probably didn't sacrifice very much as much as he benefited from activism, but the writers are setting him up as being comically self-righteous so when the kid throws it back in his face it's that much funnier and more believable

Hell yes. The Middle was great this week. An entire storyline written around a man buying a present for Mike and Mike coming to terms with it being a great present is something only The Middle (and Neil Flynn) could pull off.

By my count, 3, but there could be more.

Where did you see that it was a joint concept? My understanding is that Fey wrote it and told Dratch there was a part for her. Dratch wasn't involved in the writing or creation of the show, just given a part tailored to her. Tracey Jordan and Kenneth were also written specifically for the actors who played them.

I mean, she appeared in Sisters so I'm guessing she's gotten over it.

I still remember some Frosted Flakes ad with Jeremy Davies and Danny Masterson where Davies seemed like some cool dude jock (hilarious) and Masterson was a spaz.

Why yes, she is conventionally attractive with a healthy figure.

And was showrunner for Fernwood 2 Night! A Norman Lear protégé!

I love it. It also shows the reality of lower middle class family (as much as a sitcom conceivably can). How many shows could pull off a plot centering around a kid not submitting their financial aid renewal form and make it funny, sad and sweet at the same time?
The writers/actors also do a great job of making a

I was so jealous of Mike's garage apartment. I thought that was the ultimate.

Thicke was actually on his podcast, too.

I'm calling it: by 2030 every single house in Baton Rouge will be a terrible rip-off of an A Hays Town home.

All the cast members of I Love Lucy are like this?!

Run and She Said, too.

MOUTH STINGRAY REMIX!

Spoiler: it won't be

Magic Mike is also a fantastic movie (the sequel, not so much).

I always figured it was some sort of nod to Guy Ritchie, who was still considered hip at the time.

I'd have felt at least a little awkward during the Belushi peeping tom scene.

Great soundtrack and cool editing. I like it cause it basically seems like Soderbergh just consciously being as self-indulgent as possible, likely realizing that the opportunity to do something like that comes along once in a blue moon.
