They should still put him on trial, a la the Cadaver Synod.

Those tech suits are super expensive and don’t last more than two or three races. It’s absolutely not reasonable to expect an entire team to buy them. Swimming is already a prohibitively expensive sport and those suits don’t make it any more accessible.

I agree that there is an issue with the fit of most one piece suits, but kneeskins are a lot more expensive, even if bought in bulk for a team. (They also, in theory, offer a competitive advantage, but that’s a different conversation.)

I think everyone has sufficiently covered the racist and creepy parts of this story, so I was going to jump in with my observation of swimsuits. As competition swimwear moves towards coverage and compression, other swimsuits (like practice suits) have begun to cover and compress less. I never would’ve bought a thin

Well Margaret Qualley is only 24, so it makes sense.

Melissa Errico is a theater actress (and married to Patrick McEnroe) and I have never read a normal story about her. There was a whole thing a few years ago about how she was dismissed from an Off-Broadway production but had never filled out her W-4? Like she didn’t know she had to do that even though she’s almost 50?

Does she also get it for the rest of her life, if she chooses? I know Lady Bird Johnson has Secret Service detail for 44 years, but I did read that some presidential children turned down lifetime detail.

I also found Hamilton too long when I saw it off-Broadway, and assumed they’d trim it when it moved to Broadway. I don’t have an issue with long shows (August: Osage County and The Ferryman both come to mind as well-done recent shows that clock in at over 3 hours, not to mention things like The Iceman Cometh), but if

But if your child hadn’t taken lessons as a one-year-old, would they have wanted to go in the water at three or four? A lot of parent/child classes are to make both the baby and the parent comfortable in the water together, and it makes a big difference for a lot of children once they’re ready to take a class without

My goal for 2019 has been to read more, and I’ve been doing pretty well so far. The book I just finished was Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand, which was stupidly charming and if it’s not turned into a PBS series I will be so sad. I don’t think I was the target audience, since I imagine it was written for the hip young

Yeah, I don’t really see the point in throwing shade? Someone sets a lofty goal and works hard to accomplish it. That goal happens to be running a marathon, and they were spurred on by a bill of poor health. Why is that a bad thing? I personally don’t like running, but I love to swim and bike and it makes me feel good

I saw Hamilton when it was at the Public and it really is brilliant. But I had a hard time emotionally connecting with the characters. Maybe the hyper-focus on 1776 helped with that. Hamilton is sprawling and 1776 is so claustrophobic in many ways. It’s easy to connect with the emotions and the characters.

My hottest take is that 1776 is a better show than Hamilton, and a large part of that thinking is because John Adams treats Abigail a billion times better than Hamilton treats Eliza.

I would just like to say that 1) William Daniels is a national treasure and 2) I saw him at the talkback for a production of 1776 in 2016 and everyone lost their damn minds. He was still really sharp and so full of praise for the cast, especially Santino Fontana, who played John Adams. (I believe he mentioned that

Now playing

My best birthday was my 30th birthday. On my actual birthday, I went to see the Employee of the Month show at Joe’s Pub, because my favorite person I’ve never met, Patti LuPone, was one of the guests. The other guests were Tituss Burgess (who I also love) and Jon Hamm (who is handsome and also creepy). Catie Lazarus

I’m probably more of an ambivert, but I think your logic still stands.

Ok, so I GUESS there is a way to determine someone’s marital status if they’re already your employee, but could someone smarter than me explain how this could possibly even a little bit pass muster for people interviewing? It’s illegal to ask someone’s marital status.

That’s interesting, because I have friends, but I feel lonely because I can’t always see them all the time.

It’s frustrating because Trini Alvarado’s performance in the 1994 version is SO underrated.
