I actually auditioned for the role of Holmes in this movie, back in my younger days. After running through some lines, the auditioner told his assistant to “Put a question mark next to his (my) name”, which sounded promising but probably just meant, “How the hell did this guy think he could audition for a movie?”

Anyway

I agree that it takes no talent to “use Google.” Respectfully, though, I think it is a talent when I can make Google spit out the name of the book my teacher read to us in third grade or find Cole Haan boots that were discontinued six years ago for my husband. That’s Google-fu.

we post a lot of SNL content because you people really, really like SNL content.

Not expunged. I passed the bar on first go around, but for character and fitness they made me go to AA 6x a week, a special bar therapy thing 1x a week and I was randomly piss tested for 9 months. It was super fun.

They have decided to start with the Social Media Influencer jerbs, and I am ok with it so far.

I agree, the narration in this trailer was a bit weird. I always imagined it with Kovacs doing a Sam Spade-type internal monologue myself.

Good book, too, as I recall. Looking forward to this one.

You do know that Altered Carbon is based on a 2002 book, right? It existed long before either of those movies. And the themes of living forever for the right price and swapping bodies have been in sci-fi even longer.

Clearly.

I think it’s more likely that the warrant was actually issued in February but it’s not a warrant that they are going to chase after you for. Eventually, you’ll get pulled over and they will arrest you. I think it got publicized bc either HW or the press were researching her background and this popped up on their radar

Am I the only one who blinks a bit at seeing the victim described as an “old man”? I mean, he looks to be about my age and that’s totally not old!

“Sad story but I’m going to be an asshole anyway.”

OR People could find something better to do with their lives and stop harassing an elderly couple who probably don’t want to turn their house into a museum for a gaggle of rubbernecking gawking morons.

Saw this in the theatre when it came out...have seen it many, many times since. Never for a second thought Deckard was a Replicant. Didn’t see it alluded to in the film.

Yikes, the glare from that coach. He looks pretty mad, too.

I’d like to see a concept artist’s drawing of that dude in armor without the armor. His shoulders must be double wide or his arms must be extra long or both. Either way, his proportions must be freakish.

Probably for the same reason some people seek out personalities instead of just watching uncommentated gameplay: people like feeling a connection to someone, or having the content feel more personal.

I don’t see the issue. They sell the water by the bottle for $x.xx. so they multiplied that price by the number of bottles in the case. Nothing wrong with doing that. If anything it just shows how expensive bottled water is usually.

I hate this movie and I hate this scene.

Careful, logical and reasoned discussion is a slippery slope in certain parts of the net. Coming in with facts paints a big red target on your back.
