Those adverts are worse than anything in the Death Wish movies.

At least Wyoming has some impressive landscapes. What does Alabama have? Just a rather pathetic bit of Gulf coast.
Yup, this. I’m not a furry, but started viewing them with sympathy after learning how many of them are deeply screwed-up people, frequently seeking to escape from some kind of trauma in their human lives. If dressing up as an animal is what they need to do to find their happy place, more power to them.
As another non-American, I only found out about this bizarre story after learning that Kerrigan was the name inspiration for the StarCraft character. (Wait - if you were born in the mid-90s, you probably won’t remember StarCraft...)
Sounds like you didn’t try very hard.
The fact that it’s not that well-remembered is what makes it a good choice for a remake. The familiar title helps sell it, but there’s great creative freedom to tell whatever stories you like.
OK, good to know I just about have time to catch up on the third season before this one starts...
Needs a ‘kekeke lol’ at the end.
It also suggests the disturbing idea that what’s morally wrong varies across time and societies, so something that’s wrong now might not be wrong in the past or the future, or in a society with warped values. It’s true that what’s socially considered to be ‘wrong’ does change over time; but most people would say that…
To correct a mistake the media keeps making: ‘Twitter’ is not the same as ‘the world’.
I miss the original meaning of the word ‘refute’...
It seems that we’ve now come full circle, and suggesting Swift is anything other than History’s Greatest Monster makes you a racist scumbag. Indifference to her is apparently morally unacceptable.
‘Whitewash’ was maybe not the best choice of words there...
Isn’t there also an anime about this person? Somehow it doesn’t surprise me that his/her story would appeal to Japan...
Don’t know about Lady Bird, but Brooklyn is well worth seeing. Grand Budapest Hotel too, though she only has a small role in it.
The sad thing is that (IMO) Spacey’s performance as Luthor is one of the few highlights of Superman Returns. Possibly the only highlight.
He’s the Japanese Daniel Day-Lewis.
I’m not sure if this is a sign that I’m growing out of action movies, but I found Fury Road’s non-stop action almost entirely boring. I recognise that it’s a very well-made movie, but it just did nothing for me. Maybe if I’d seen it as a teenager I’d have loved it; but these days I prefer my movies to have more things…
This is true criticism of other movies, but honestly I found it to be true of Fury Road as well. IMO, it achieves a similar level of over-the-top boring intensity, even though very little of it is actually CGI.
Glad to see I’m not the only one. I was bored by this movie.
