WTF is crackle lol?

The truth: we're all robots. The Turing test was failed by humanity a long time ago.
Just looked it up. Of course it's based in San Francisco. I suspect they have very few users elsewhere.
I saw them referred to in a Wikipedia article as 'dating lines', which is a rather sweet euphemism. 'Party chat' is even sadder.
It's not the first time he's been mentioned - Bill said in the episode with the pyramid something like 'The President? But I didn't vote for him! He's orange!"
The BBC iplayer also crashed on me while watching the episode at that exact moment. Dear BBC, please get someone competent to sort out your IT, thanks.
As the Simpsons once put it:
"Ralph! I thought you were dead?" "Nope!"
It's noteworthy that Clara's exit was much more final, in that the Doctor actually forgot about her. This time, the Doctor hasn't forgotten about Bill (or Nardole!) - they could easily rejoin the Tardis any time the writers wanted.
Moffat's an old romantic, and never tried to hide it: he wants all his characters to get happy endings. It fits with the generally optimistic tone of the show, but I can't blame people for feeling a little tired of it by now. Perhaps Clara should have been allowed to stay dead…
Yeah, hasn't the Master come back from Ultimate Final Death at least two or three times already?
I thought it was pretty badly written, but as ever, lifted by the acting skills of Capaldi and the rest of the cast.
Likewise. These reviews are the main reason I've been coming to the AV Club. I hope whoever succeeds Alasdair in this job puts as much thought into it as he did.
Heck, Xi Jinping has a greater claim to that title than the current occupant of the White House.
Skeuomorphism?
True, but I have to admit, I loved how they handled the romance stuff in HBP. It might be my favourite film for that reason, even if it's a bit of a guilty pleasure. (It helps that I used to vaguely know the girl who played Lavender Brown, and so find her particularly amusing in that role.)
True. I remember when I read the book, I didn't even get that Sirus had died at first.
Yeah, OOTP might be the most successful adaptation. They boiled down the longest book into (IIRC) the shortest film, without leaving anything important out, and kept it entertaining all the way through (which is more than can be said for the book).
Me too. I remember vaguely hearing they were rebooting it, then nothing until 'our movie would have been less of a flop with a higher rating'. Maybe they also needed an actual publicity campaign?
And didn't it also happen to Mickey in the alternate universe? Or am I misremembering?
I can only agree with an A if you didn't know what was going to happen. If you knew John Simm and the Cybermen would be in it, it was just 50 minutes of gradually spinning out the inevitable.
