Well if I open the smart cover and the screen doesn't turn on that mean it is not working. Just like if you open your fridge and the light doesn't turn on.

Is this article not about WiFi? My AT&T iPad gets a better WiFi signal than the WiFi on my AT&T Galaxy Nexus. Some people are complaining that their phones get better signal.

Havent seen any problems. I am getting a stronger signal than my Galaxy Nexus. (Speed test from the middle of a giant lecture hall that usually has terrible signal)

And with most people comparing it to a high power device like a MacBook. My MacBook has always gotten better signal than my iPad or phones.

So, you can be on a Skype phone call and play music in the background at the same time?

Pretty much, but I believe one of the main reason Apple said hell no to them doing that is that the ViOP APIs use background audio and if Sparrow is utilizing that API then you would never be able to use any of the music apps like Pandora, Sirius, or even the build in Music app.

They are not blocking push, push requires a host server to send out notifications to the device. The makers of Sparrow do not want to do that since they don't want to be responsible for holding your Gmail login credentials on their server.
