I'm familiar with the general camp of post-colonial/post-structuralist theory, but are there any FGM advocates who claim to be both feminist and victims of FGM? I ask for intellectual curiosity's sake, in the interest of honing my position against the most legitimate opposition.

This is extremely solid, sensitive advice. All of it. I like the way this column has developed.

True story: Flying from SLC to NYC (with a layover in Orlando), I was seated next to an 18yo Mormon girl who was part of a 20 girl group going on their mission trip (to Orlando). It was the first time she'd ever been on a plane, she was terrified, we held hands. When we flew over the mountains, she was amazed

My wedding dress also cost $100, but was (to my eye) classier and more expensive looking. This photo doesn't really do it justice. It was great palette for retro styling.

That's cool. I feel similarly about people whose identity is tied to the goods made possible by society (like eCigs), yet fail to take any to take any responsibility for that society.

The plan isn't to ban vaping, but to regulate it in the same way that other tobacco is, in order to prevent the undoing of the long, hard fraught decline in tobacco addiction, which is not a victimless crime. Or put differently, perhaps one of the reasons that you (or I) became addicted to cigarettes in the first

eCig companies are actually making no claims about the comparative health benefits of eCigs. A brief perusal of Blu's FAQ has them talking about their "commitment to quality" and better "user experience" but they are largely prohibited from making substantive health claims by the FDA (which requires evidence). eCigs

Wow, who would have thought that people possessing totally irrational ideas, would also be utterly unable to express them with any degree of cohesion?

This is clearly a medical issue for the child. Many babies who have been fed breast milk simply will not take formula. This was the case with my youngest brother, who lost nearly a pound (i.e. 1/10 of his body weight) when my mother had trouble producing enough milk and tried to supplement, but he simply wouldn't

Holy shit this is the best line up in years!

That's interesting. She's older than me, and I never had, nor do I remember any professional Barbies existing in my childhood. I guess my parents could have bought me one. But I would have probably cried my eyes out if the year I wanted Totally Hair Barbie I was given an astronaut.

For everyone running to the defense of Barbie's IQ, keep in mind that this woman is 38, and the Barbie she grew up with pre-dated the professional versions of Barbie.

Well that's annoying.

What other way is there to read? Ever since receiving Sweet Valley Twins #1 and #2, I've positively devoured book series. The only downside is that sometimes I resist reading a book that I'm genuinely interested in, because there's only the one.

I'm having trouble picturing how a person says they are gay, hopefully.

She clearly needs to redirect that couch money into obedience training.

Now playing

Here's the full version (the "film") that she's suing over (not the 3 minute "trailer") others are posting:

Awesome, so it is! Thanks for that :)
