This. Prop it up to the correct height and stitch it back together. Add a reinforcement patch over the top, throw a little paint on it and call it done.

Where did you plumb the oil pressure gauge into? Is it before or after the pump bypass (assuming it has one). Could be a stuck bypass valve. Or, clogged oil passage downstream of the pressure gauge. According to the internets, the main and cam bearing are before the lifters and rockers so if you took the pressure…
I mean, there’s always the Edsel to point at.
I see your Deutz and raise you a straight piped Detroit Diesel.
Great but can I get it with the optional PTO winch like the original?
I know that I’m a little late to the party but I’m curious if we can get any sort of update on these sorts of posts. The Jalopnik community has been exceedingly responsive and, I assume, successful in identifying these hit-and-run remnant and blurry security cam video vehicles. Have we done any good? Any arrests?…

I think its an International R195 or R205, which, according to Wikipedia, were available in a COE in ‘53 and build by a company called Hendrickson. They appear to be quite rare.
I believe that is a ‘53-55 International R Series medium duty.
I used to do this in my truck (‘79 F-150) when in order to eat and drive. Not too hard if the shifter is in a position that you can reach it. Expert level is doing it on a downshift without using the clutch.
I can usually manage 1-2 trips. Unless it’s plumbing related. My blood pressure has decreased since I resigned myself to the fact that any plumbing project will require at least 3 trips to the store.
