DO IT! I have been roasting my own for 7 years now and I will NOT go back. I started out with an air-popper, then moved to a $80 air-roaster (a.k.a. fluid bed roaster) and now am working a 1/2lb drum roaster.

The trick there is the fridge freezer will warm up to just above freezing occasionally to defrost the sides. Hence, the frostless freezer. If your freezer doesn’t build up ice on the sides over time, it’s doing this.

Easy, very little will keep beans fresh after 10 days.
