The only reason to buy a used Wrangler is if you want a LJ (Long wheelbase 2-door) or want something in the CJ or square headlight era. Recent wranglers just hold their value too well. Bought a new 2015 Willys Wheeler when I found that used Sports (base model) were more expensive and didn’t have the LSD.

I drove my dad’s 335is over the xmas holidays when I was visiting family. It took me about 4 drives in that thing before I hit the lever and pedals in the right sequence on the first try. For couple of times, I jumped in, hit the button to start and then grabbed the lever while looking for the clutch pedal and hearing

I’m Hondanonymous and so’s my wife!

Dude, that is like a perfect score!

That is way too true to ever have been typed out.

I got a 2 door Wrangler Willys Wheeler. I freakin use it! It had maybe 700 miles on the odo and I was hub deep in a river in the local WMA. I DD it, and I get maybe 18mpg on most days. If I hypermile it on the semi-backroads, I might get closer to 20mpg, but that’s not why I bought it.

Why in the future is there always at least one vagina door?

Yep! I taught 4 of my nieces how to drive stick by doing the “take off in first gear without using the gas pedal” trick. They all want to buy manual transmissions when they buy their own cars now. I have one niece living with my wife and I that drives our Tacoma 5-speed as her daily driver.

In the USA, if you can “fog a mirror” you get a driving license that will let you drive anything up to and including a bus sized RV, while towing pretty much anything. If you drive commercially (Bus, Big Rig, or tow over 10000lbs while getting paid) you will need a commercial driving license, and that does take some

As parent of a new-born, I will point out that if they are going to ride in a car at the other end, one of the bags will be the kid’s car-seat, there will be a bag of clothes, stroller is usually it’s own bag (Unless they have a small stroller that they roll up to the gate with and then gate-check it...)... Kids weigh

I have done exactly this. I even pre-printed a contract for them to sign to pay me $80/mo for as long as their sticker or license plate frame was on the car. Somehow, their branding was shortly removed from the car.

Here’s my rebuttal to your tangent...

You’re doing it wrong. Willys Wheeler model + AC. MSRP $29k. Tinted windows on the soft-top, the good suspension, the 32” Mud tires from the rubicon, the uConnect package. You don’t want the auto. You don’t want the leather...

The thing was, truck beds started out as a simple box. The wheels went on the outside. Eventually, fenders were put over the wheels. Then you had the first “step side” when you put a running board between the front and back wheels. You could step on the running board to get up to put something into the bed from the

Satisfied with my car?

4-door Wrangler. Which is very odd, because the 2-door works VERY well.

Yep, my wife is from the P.I. and speaks English, Tagalog and Illocano (she’s from Illocos Norte). There are a bunch of spanish loan words and straight up spanish homonyms in tagalog. La Mesa (table) becomes Lamesa (table) in tagalog. Salsa (sauce) is spoken as Sausau (sauce). Other examples are common.

The Hard Rock is basically the optioned out Rubicon. It’s got Leather, the premium stereo, the vented hood, a set of bumpers that will mount a winch inside it if you buy the right one, you can take the end-caps off of the bumpers, power windows, power door locks and AC.

The thing is, a Wrangler is a horrible car. It’s an awful truck as well... Doesn’t to very much, not a bunch of space. Gets horrible fuel economy...

I also spent $30k... I have a TorSen diff, clutchless start a fancy sound system... 2015 Willy’s Wheeler plus AC.
