The Trans Am fender vents is the turd on top of this pile of shit. ND.

Easy Crack Pipe. Near 30 grand for a 30 year old Volkswagen. The miles are low but not low enough, you have to drive on the wrong side of the car and you don’t get AC. All that for the benefit of a slightly larger engine and no electronic seatbelts. They’ll get maybe low 10s for from a big VW guy out of state.

To me it’s as simple as “what’s the fastest, most surefooted thing you’ve ever seen driving on snow or ice”, and outside of tracked vehicles it has to be a rally car, and invariably their snow/ice setup is a very narrow tire.

Just check any rally car when race on snow/ice. The tires are super narrow but they corner like they’re on rails.

The sandbags aren't for more weight, it's for better weight distribution. Some RWD cars and trucks have very little weight on the rears when unloaded, and putting more weight over the rears helps correct that more than it hurts your overall stopping distance by increasing total weight.

It’s almost as if all snow isn’t the same.   Slushy snow on asphalt is different than hard packed dry snow which is different than hard pellets of almost icy snow.  All require slightly different approaches.

Just look at a WRC rally car racing in snow/ice stages. The skinniest tires you ever saw. And if an ice stage they run spikes on those skinny tires.

Yeah, seems like this test is a little bit one dimensional. Lowering pressure is all well and good, but the primary purpose of tire pressure is to support the vehicle, and if it is too low there is too much strain put into the tire via flex which can lead to failure.

On ice, larger contact patch is generally not what you want. Larger contact patch leads to reduced lbs/square inch, which is key to maintaining static friction.

A set of Nokian snows at 20psi will turn a FWD minivan from a sled into a tank.

You’ll need a place to store it. Does your uncle have a country place that no-one knows about? Was it a farm that existed before the motor law?

Paging Mercedes Streeter. Ms Mercedes, your NP may be here.

At 95K miles, this car is used up mechanically. Yeah, it looks great, but they weren’t built to last 200+K miles like today’s cars.

Three months too early.  If they could have held out until January there’d be no more EPA to deal with, and Attorney General Gaetz will be too busy sourcing more underage pussy to worry about prosecuting anyone.

I went with NP. You couldn't build it for $20k, but the market for it is also very limited. Would I drive it? In a heartbeat! Would I pay $20k for it? If I had it laying around, maybe.

Based on the ad, it’s on the CP side. I’d need to see maintenance records before I’d pull the trigger.

Cars.com has a few for half the price.  But this seller knows what they have, so they should keep it.  ND.

Aren’t we kind of talking about the mid range adv bikes? 450ish lbs. Hp in the 75-100 range, which is certainly enough to get out of its own way. Upright seating position. There is a reason banana seats dont really exist anymore. The little transition from lower front to slightly higher back seat gives the passenger a
