ND he knows what he’s got

Can I get 10k off with the stock rims?

I didn’t lust after it when it was new and I don’t lust after it, now.  That puts it in the “Is it a good price for a daily driver/winter beater?” class, and it would have to be a few grand cheaper, to have any appeal, to me.  ND.

Ignoring the price for a second - As you said, it probably has plenty of life left in it. But you buy a car like this to have the drivetrain and suspension in tip-top shape. If the rear dampers are feeling a little worn, you aren’t just going to let it go. If the clutch is *fine*, you aren’t just going to let it go.

Not an issue with the Turbo motors. Just the NA versions.

If I was looking to spend $7-8k on a really really nice mid ‘00s Subaru wagon, and I came across this for $10k, I’d seriously consider it. But $15k is too much to not be a low mileage garage queen.

First off, let me say that knowing the “elderly” people that I do, who are never shy about doing a burnout or two and can afford the tires to do so, buying from the little old lady from Pasadena is not a guarantee that the car hasn’t been flogged like a red haired stepchild. The difference is that they will be more

This car sold on BaT for $8,100 about a year ago, so the seller is definitely trying to hustle someone here.

Incl people born from 1960-64 in this list of somewhat ageist “humor” is a bit galling. I’m just as characteristic of GenX as I am of late Boomers, and have little in common with people born right after WWII.

Folks might nibble based on the exterior but the interior is, “Woof”.

If you are going to ask top $$ I want it complete. ND

I am not a libertarian, but... if this guy drowns and his silly hamster wheel washes up in the canary islands in 3 years... who cares.

This one is testing my resolve. I have a trailer, it’s only about an hour away from me, and we’re coming up on a three day weekend.

This car reminds me of the era when Chrysler taught Mercedes Benz how to build shitty cars.

On one hand I’m happy this car came into existence. Because it was a cheap relatively economical form of transport for the lower and middle class.

I know it’s Buffalo, but should there be that level of rust on a high-end 12-year-old car that doesn’t have nosebleed mileage on it? And why only in that spot? A substandard fender repair? That plus all the pitfalls of a used BMW equals ND.

I loathed this era of severely squared-off rooflines, but if it doesn’t bother you, here’s a livable runner that’s unique enough for your local C&C for less than $5K. Easy NP.

For that kind of money, it should be flawless. ND in this condition.

Skillful job at making it livable for the modern world, but also heavily personalized. What would it take to undo the Jack Sparrow treatment? I’m torn but leaning sad ND.

I did a quick search for 1992-1994 Caprice wagons for sale, and most of them were priced in the $4-$7K range. The only ones that were priced as stupid as this one had some variation of ugly wheels just like this one.
