I'm curious if The Division, like Destiny, took some time to hit its stride. I played the beta of The Division and liked the game world, but the gameplay was kind of boring. How's it fare now?

It's also today's deal of the day for $34.99/$27.99 w/ GCU on Best Buy (for PS4, PC and Xbox). That's actually cheaper than it'll be on Black Friday if you've got GCU.

I'm too much of a wiener for hardcore mode, but I like a lot of the changes in the latest patch. The way they're redone squad leadership that encourages leaders to give orders is genius. Now if everyone would just PTFO instead of sniping from the outskirts.

I have returned! The stupid web filter at my work was upgraded and had started blocking AV Club and Disqus. My mad computer skillz have foiled my fascist IT department's efforts however, and I am back to epically waste time again. And there was much rejoicing…

It's not so much PQ as it is the amount of options. It's more fully featured. And it used to be that the PS4's BD player firmware was buggy as hell, but according to the internet that's been fixed with patches in the past year or so.

Yeah, I played the crap out of Forza Horizon 2, but there were a few bucket list challenges I just never finished because they were frustrating as hell, including the one you mention.

I'd say hold on to your PS3 if you watch movies and don't have a standalone blu-ray player. It's way better than a PS4 for watching movies.

I'm still tearing around the outback in Forza Horizon 3, but my copy of Mafia III arrives in the mail today!

When I got laid off from my newspaper job in 2008, I applied for holiday help at both Circuit City and Best Buy for temporary employment. I'm a home theater nut so I know electronics backwards and forwards, a computer geek, and a pop culture nerd so I know movies and music well. I figured it would be a breeze.

Hmm, posting a recipe with no accompanying photo of said recipe. I know y'all are new to this food thing and all, A.V. Club, but…

Don't they know us A.V. Clubbers are pun aficionados? There's a pun thread in every article's comments, fer chrissakes.

I've got a feeling they're going to have a hard time selling these to the kids that have made Five Nights at Freddy's a phenomenon.

"Much of the show’s success has to do with Colter’s performance, which is, for lack of a less punny word, marvelous."

Interesting, apparently you don't have to subscribe to Groove to stream your own tracks from OneDrive.

The soundtrack is certainly an example of how I'm a charter member of the Out-of-Touch Old Dude Club.

Hardline is certainly worth $4 to play through its unique but flawed campaign. It's way better than 3 for sure. You can actually play through a lot of it in Deus Ex-style stealth mode, arresting the bad guys instead of shooting them. There are several scripted firefights though.

Either you fellow AV Clubbers don't have Xboxes, or y'all just don't like racing games, 'cause I'm surprised to see no one here talking about Forza Horizon 3.

Ass of Glass?

Yeah, they do and it sucks because I have a Spotify subscription, which Sony apparently has some sort of deal with. So I can rock out on my PS4, not so much on my Xbox. This game's soundtrack especially is not to my taste. the hip hop channel and about half of the Epitaph / Vagrant tunes are tolerable.

Definitely, honestly my sole gripe with this game is that the car list repeats way too much from Forza 6 and Horizon 2. Bring on more peculiar rides! When is a game going to let me drive an Edsel?
