I think it has to do more with political correctness thats plaguing Germany these days. Remember a portion of the government recently voted to ban all ICE cars by like 2030. I’m sure the Dieselgate scandal just gave more ammunition to the car hating crowd and the people who just want us to all have soulless self

Had a B13 Sentra with a 5spd (which became a 4spd) as my daily d/beater car for a couple years. Was actually fun to drive and great as a beater car. Car was so light it handled pretty good, even with basic tires on it. Sadly the timing chain guide eventually broke and the timing jumped and that was the end of it...

Whats that saying about you can put lipstick on a pig...?

Too bad that video stopped when it did, I’d love to see a little more of the aftermath. She put a solid hit on him thats for sure!

Where you see coolness (no pun intended), I see lots of points of failure when the car hits 50k miles which is great for service shops. Also I see a lot of exposed parts to potential impact from road debris, going off track, etc which could sideline the car....my EVO IX with its AWD drive train doesn’t need that much

Main problem I see as having recently left the dealership business and moved over to independent, is that (at least here in the Bay Area) a majority of dealers are now all corporate owned behemoths, which bring in their own levels of bureaucracy, and focus strictly on the bottom line, which usually doesn’t empower
