I’d imagine in many cases these days, a painting like this begins with a photography session, and the artist working on it afterward, rather than the more traditional “long sitting.” I’m sure both are options, depending on the artist, but I feel like if I were to do it, I’d want to find a really good boudoir…

It’s a dumb distinction but I wouldn’t have thought about Hitchcock because he does “suspense”. But I totally agree. Hitch for sure.
