I think you forget DC's new realistic heroes angle, ala Batman Begins. Historically, DC movies other than Batman do not go well, so they are attempting a new approach.

MS would love DRM on their new console, because one publisher has already stated that MS would get a large percentage of the money it would take to activate that used game on their console. That's why.
