Maybe then they’d understand what those of us who’ve been reading the books all these years feel.

And he’ll still probably get more recognition from the media than any of the women or POCs (or WOCs) running.
I don’t trust people who have “whiskey libraries.”
YESSS! Didn’t see it until now, but you’re so on point! I think she definitely embraced the theme more than Kim or Kylie, who just kind of looked like you’d expect them to look.
Thought her first two looks were great, third look was fine, fourth look was just boring and anti-climactic. It’s kind of ironic that Gaga’s tendency to go one step too far actually failed in a theme where one step too far is exactly what you’re going for.
Funny thing is, I actually thought Kendall’s look was more adventurous than we usually see from her. And yet, the whole of the Kardashian clan still just tries to look pretty and safe.
Umm ... police and DAs pick and choose which crimes to charge literally ALL THE TIME.
Sometimes the restaurant doesn’t help either. We were at breakfast where we got our waffles free, and on the receipt where it had a gratuity guide, the tips suggested were based off the post-discount total. Fortunately my mother and I know the proper etiquette and made sure to tip our server got the correct tip.
Because the server still did the work of a full priced meal. It’s not like you get discounted service along with discounted food.
Also, if you got some sort of discount on your meal (coupon, write-off, etc) make sure you are tipping 20% based on the original total (before discounts)!
My son has wanted to have his own YouTube channel for years (for the record, I do not have one, nobody wants to see this ugly talentless face on their screen), I told him that we’d discuss it when he’s 13 (cos that is when most social media allows you to create an account), he’s 13 in a month and I still have…
But why isn’t the conversation about impact instead of intent?
It’s really disappointing. I get that we don’t want to see our heroes in this kind of light, but it doesn’t change the reality of the situation. I like Al Franken a lot until the accusations came out about him, but committing to believing women has to be consistent. It’s easy to believe them when the accused is…
Yeah, it’s really disappointing that so many people are all #BelieveWomen right up until it’s one of their heroes being accused.
It’s interesting how often the “lesser of two evils” argument gets used to dismiss voices from marginalized groups.
Maybe Alyssa Milano should refer back to Biden’s treatment of Anita Hill to see how good he’s been at championing women who are sexually assaulted.
Except that Betsy is a known champion for charter schools (at least the ones that put money in her or her friends’ pockets), and the budget she proposed added funds to charter schools while slashing special education funds. I apologize, I should have made that connect in my original post.
It’s really really bad.
It’s interesting how even the most ardent #believewomen supporters will turn on a dime the second it’s one of their heroes.
Liberals need some blame in this too. Many liberals champion charter schools, which siphon funds away from public education, and ultimately special education.
