And the 10, 20, 30+ gallons of gasoline in your current cars don’t? Or the natural gas system? Or any of the existing electrical system in your house?

Fires are one thing that worry me about EVs. Having one charging in my garage makes me nervous,
This is a very sad story. This lawsuit will be thrown out.
Your fucking autoplay ads are the fucking worst.
Fuck you.
Stop the autoplay ad.
Can we address the bigger issue here? Can we stop with the recommended/recent videos auto playing on every single page?
In 20 years when all new cars are EV’s, we will look back on this last gasp of ICE cars and their increasingly stupid-looking giant grilles and wonder what hell everyone was thinking. Like parachute pants.
I live in a city and could easily charge an EV. I would’ve bought one of these if they were on sale last year, instead I bought a new Fiesta ST.
Hi Honda,
First of all, I don’t have a law degree, but the lawyer I spoke to for the article does, and he disputes your characterization of what the law is “supposed”to do (I read the law as well and think he’s got a point).
If you really want to blow your mind, just look up some public records about you and where you live (if its a house).
Just road tripped from Colorado Springs to Las Vegas and back (815miles each way). Added 2.5hrs each way to the total time, cost me less than $100 each way. Using AutoPilot I was barley fatigued.
I fixed the title for you.
^ This. The idea is to use the fast chargers when driving a distance. Your day-to-day stuff should be handled by home charging (and charging at work if you’re lucky).
I believe there are 10 superchargers at the mall near me. It is a higher income area in the ‘burbs of Boston, but the chargers do see a lot of use. Its one of the largest malls in the area so it is really practical for shoppers.
I’ve said for years that its not just about the car, its also the charging infrastructure.
A lot of those stations are at Wal-Marts located off the highway. Isn’t that exactly where Taycan owners wanted to park their $100k-$200k car for charging, while they go have lunch at a Denny’s next door?
There’s nothing inherently wrong with a business model that offers a product that nearly exclusively appeals to those over the age of 40. LOTS of products are only bought by retirees and they do fine. Extremely well even.
The problem is making sure that the NEXT GENERATION of 40-year olds ALSO wants to buy your product.
…
I’d like them to continue to exist - as long as straight pipes mean the bike gets immediately crushed.
