Never go Godwin. I am not disagreeing with you, but never go Godwin.

Someone finally found a good use for “Smart” cars. I approve.
“I don’t really give a shit what anyone rides” <<— Agreed.
Yeah, sigh..... I love sportbikes, I love the power, responsiveness, and handling.
I average 29 mpg, and that includes touring. I do admit to having a slightly heavy right wrist.
I have been riding (legally) for nearly 34 years. I have ridden everything from scooters to GoldWings. And, in full disclosure, I am not a fan of cruisers. I consider my ZX14R to be a touring bike. So, YMMV on my response.
When I was shopping around for a ZX-14, the internet told me (wrongly) that a local Hardley dealer had taken one in in trade. Once I went there, and the stock showed none, the salesman tried to tell me that a VRod was “fast”. It isn’t, but that was not the only reson I was ZX-14R shopping. Handling and comfort was o…
As an owner of a Ninja, I agree. I love my bike, but hate nearly everyone else on one.
My bike does 0-100 in a lot less than that. I am willing to make the tradeoff in fuel economy. (29 mpg is still good, right?) Bikes are about happy, happy fun times.
Visor?!? Real Hardley Ableson owners know that helmets are dangerous!
Came here to post a similar reply. They do seem to be more of an escort, rather than a 5 foot (under 2 meter) flyby.
“Torture camp” ‘nuf said on that.
Thanks for the reminder. I love this movie.
I grew up in Wisconsin, and my first car was a 1979 Pinto wagon with a standard. I learned so much about car control from that. Driving sideways, on purpose, while taking up two lanes, in a straight line. Good memories.
The engine singing, the look, the music. I can’t not watch when this is posted.
I actually see a Metro convertible on a regular basis. I giggle every time.
Ford Escort EXP would fit in well with that group, too.
Me, too. And a couple other calibers, as well.
One way to avoid, or at least minimize, back sweat is to get a bicycle specific backpack. I got mine at Academy. Between that, my soft luggage, and a ZX14R’s ability to make wind flow, I rarely arrive with back sweat.
I did give up street riding, after I moved here. I was track only for several years. But, being stuck in a car was driving me crazy. I do still filter, but I pick my times and places. (In other words, I look around for cops before I do it)
