Last week made it hard for me to defend the author.

This week the commentariat makes it hard to defend them, what with their absolutely mind-warping attempts to take down a fairly apt description of the episode, with people coming in with ass-backwards takes like “A TV SHOW CAN’T HAVE A POINT OF VIEW” that,…

Of course a piece of media can have a stance. South Park has always had an “other people are idiots” stance (granted, I haven’t watched in years). Modern family has a "family is everything" stance. Law and Order SVU has a "rape is never okay" stance. Etc.

Do I get to wear an outfit with a hood? Do I get a hidden blade? No? Then hard pass. This is “Assassin’s Creed.” There should be no alternatives. I’m all for letting series evolve and try new things, but the further they stray from being an assassin, even if it’s an optional skill tree, it’s not Assassin’s Creed…

I think it’s a matter of the older episodes letting the show do the heavy lifting as you’re still watching a bad movie to laugh at. There’s some dead space, but it allows the jokes to otherwise land Otherwise the newest season played out like a funnier version of the current Simpsons where they seem to be deadset on…

I hope they space the riffs out a little more. They dropped some excellent jokes in the last season, but too often they didn’t let them land before immediately firing another joke off.

I really tried to like Season 11, and I’ll probably give Season 12 a shot, but the new crew and writing staff did very little to me. None of the new guys have the comedic range or that sense of Midwestern understatement needed to make it feel like MST3K to me. Instead it felt like any of those umpteen Youtube channels…

Am I  alone in saying that S11 was kind of.....not so good?

I want to know WHY SUDDENLY ALL THE AUTO-PLAY ADS. It really effs up the browsing experience. Pages load slower, the ads are loud af, sometimes mobile freezes completely. This seems to have happened in the last week or so.
