@Rosa Golijan: Happy New Years! Wait, I always assumed all of y'all Giz writers were Left Coasters who are still 2 hours from 2011. Good to see that there's a solid tech/science scene on this side of the Mississippi.

@Omnimon: Would be nice to be able to run Linux/Any other OS on my PS. I have a mac mini, but it's my main comp right now, and I would like to be able to use my PS3 as origianlly advertised and not drop the mini to HTPC duty.

@C.T. Pope: Hate to reference the other tech blog, but the video at the bottom of this story is probably why apple isn't jumping on the 3g to 3g connections for facetime. [www.engadget.com] (FF to about 2:00 to see the 3g call)

@HereNicoleWas: Same here. Main comp is a mini, and only use chrome on my windows machines. I shouldn't have forgotten the non technophile majority though, as I just set up my aunt's first computer last week and had her amazed that IE was not the only way to access the internet. (I quickly eliminated any trace of IE

@HereNicoleWas: I had the same question...see the responses to my comment below (might have to "show all" to see them)

@Kojima Yoshiyuki: Fair enough. Unfortunate for them...I just went to msn and it has less content organized worse than yahoo and no ipad/tablet specific interface to boot.

Can't believe a) myspace is still on the list and b) msn is moving up the list. Is there something I don't know about msn and it not being completely useless?

@Eddard: Beat me to it. The Stig is exactly what I thought about when I saw this post. None of 'em beat this look:

@devoidmeat: Yes! If the phone started talking and making demands like that I would consider it a feature.

Not pictured: Beer exploding in his face when he opened it.

Looks like someone with a bit of woodworking skill and a small workshop could make that pretty easily. I don't have the tools to make it a practical project, but you could use a technique like this: [tinyurl.com] . Then you could finish it however you want it to match the rest of your house.

That phone really wants a sim card.

@pastor.allan: Side effects of the Office Light from Hell may include seizures, hallucinations, mind control, and loss of one's soul, but we promise, NOT headaches.

@verspasian: He emailed the first husband because he might be worried about the violent husb #2 being around his kid, not because he would be worried about the cheating part. Messed up situation though...even if there was a conviction got to hope the good intent will result in just a slap on the wrist.

I know it's only a single dev, but JMTB02.com has a pretty big library of mostly good games that usually have a good sense of humor behind them. "This is the only level" 1 and 2 are pretty awesome, and the "Ball" series took up a lot of my time a couple years ago.

Thanks! I was really getting tired of clicking on that yes box every time. Now if there was a way to make it empty the trash automatically every time I delete something that would be even better.

After reading this, I went straight from here to netflix and was watching a video in about 10 seconds. I have the newest release of chrome, so netflix either already fixed the problem or the OP had something else strange going on.

She better watch out. Next thing she knows she'll get back to the US and the cell phone carriers will be on strike.

@Hearthatvoiceagain has not been compromised: I just bought the free version, which comes with "reverse words" and "erase words", which do what they sound like they should (no useful function, just a proof of concept). Only tried it with paper, no signs, but it does a decent job. Might actually work better though if

Just looked and glad to see they do allow iOS multitasking, which will be great for flipping back and forth between a text editor for notes on what you've done and the game itself.
