Yup, how he looks has nothing to do with it. He is a bad person because of his actions.

This isn’t really in response to you, but I don’t want to reply to the people who are actually saying this shit, and your comment is tangentially related:
In comments above it’s clarified that they thought anything other than a ‘perfect’ hymen = sexual trauma, but it’s since been proven that hymens have an awful lot of natural variation. So there was a natural ridge on the girl’s hymen which the ‘expert’ just decided was scarring.
It seems as though the doctor in this case has some kind of weird history with finding sexual abuse in children where there is none. Just did a google search and she was the same forensic doc in a similar case: Grandma told me to lie, young girl was raped, conviction overturned.
That is the truest shit...its been 10 years, 10+ trailers, 4 demos, one movie, 5 anime episodes and I STILL have barely a clue on what’s going on.
Not excusing her, but you can’t walk out. You can call an admin, but it really challenging schools no one will come, and they don’t want you sending kids to the office. Really defiant kids won’t go even if you do send them.
Can we just stop saying inner city? Didnt that die with the 70s? Which now makes sense given FBs most dedicated age group
this woman is horrendous but it’s not fair to generalize one racist to all young teachers. Teachers who go in knowing they won;t be paid much. who spend an average of $500 a year of their own money for their classroom. Obviously, there are some awful teachers but generalizing isn’t fair to the tens of thousands of…
I worked at a daycare for a summer job one year. Got a teacher fired cos she smacked a kid and then said that no one would tell because “we’re all teachers” and wouldn’t rat her out.
As a former teacher: Good. Nobody like this deserves to be a teacher.
As I mentioned elsewhere, I really hope the history books also note that Obama was faced with a possibly historic level of obstructionism from Congress. So he was forced to get creative with executive power in order to govern.
Yeah. This is one reason I fucking hate Kubrick and have literally trashed casual friendships over people defending this in the name of art. (I’ve trashed more longstanding friendships over Polanski but that’s a different matter.)
Fighting for a $15 minimum wage is fighting the last war. The lack of discussion of a guaranteed minimum income is deeply troubling given that millions of jobs simply won’t exist in a generation.
“We’re going to bring back all of those manufacturing jobs from China.”
Climate change is another great example. On this front, Democrats are a bit more realistic than they are on trade, but at the end of the day, the narrative tilts so hard because Republicans refuse to contemplate any meaningful action.
They were’t really seen as people, even fractional ones. They just “compromised” at 3/5 for the purposes of calculating things like House districts and electoral college delegates. Or, in other words, how many bonus votes slave owners got.
i appreciate this article, but i wish that jezebel would do a better job covering some of the potential risks of IUDs and different perspectives on the matter. because right now this coverage has really excluded large groups of women.
My grandmother is RHnegative and in the 60s, after her fourth child nearly died because of it, her doctor told her she should stop having babies. A Catholic, my grandmother told her doctor that her husband would not like the sound of that. The doctor responded that he would giver her an IUD and her husband would never…
That doesn’t even make sense to me. Even if you are monogamous, you often have no way besides trust of knowing your partner is also being monogamous. A woman’s long-term partner can transmit a STI the same way a not so long term partner can. As long as you are taking additional precautions of testing, condoms, and…
I love my IUD—so, so much.
