Lots of companies run box trucks more for bulky cargo than heavy cargo. The ones my company uses rarely have more than I’d guess 2,500 lbs in the back, but we’re making good use of the volume for sure.

I put 40,000 miles on a 2018 Renegade 4x4 6 m/t before selling it about a year ago. It was super cheap to purchase and I got 26.4 MPGs over the length of my ownership. It was fantastic in the snow and made turbo “wooosh” noises. Seating position wasn’t bad at all and it had enough room for the wife and I to go camping
