Yeah, I’m aware of the level of support it got from the political class, though officially each had their own angle on the law. QS and the PQ for instance are each advocating for important revisions, like prolongating the learning period by a year or 2.

Look I’m a Quebec francophone and unwarranted cultural bashing aside I’m just as baffled with this law as anyone else. Some people have alluded to the notion in this comment section already, and I agree that the real goal here isn’t to defend the French language or whatever noble pretense the Legault government is

If what I’ve heard about Quebec and this law are true, it is 100% about getting immigrants to not even consider moving there.  They are pretty much setting up the perfect “We don’t want immigrants but we want them to leave of their own volition” law.

I would play the hell out of a Kojima take on Powers. Like seriously, please, right now. Put it directly into my veins.

“A buddy (male/female) thing with a special detective squad facing off against legendary heroes behind the scenes”

To a certain extent, it feels like familiar narrative ground for Kojima. The Metal Gear games were usually (I only played 1-4 to completion, so perhaps others differed) about a “regular” guy versus a quirky miniboss squad who all have some unique power set and their army of disposable minions and battle mechs. Regular

This is your usual musou. P5S was essentially a JRPG but instead of turn-based, you have small-scale musou battles.

Yes, but massive companies that have created games that sell many more copies for a higher price should also be aiming for this.

The first half of the Starfield presentation just plain depressed me. You’re trying to sell me on space adventure and...everything is gray. All gray. Plod along. Scan things. Mine things. And the only excitement is SHOOT KILL KILL. I honestly just felt sad. The latter half perked things up a bit, but I’m afraid I know

What few mechanics we have been able to spot look pretty fun, at least! Foregoing any expectations for now, but honestly, that “loop around and homing attack” bit looked like an embrace of systems-based mechanics and that’s a good move!
I just really really hope that the biomes/zones are differentiated more than a lot

I think overall with gacha games like Genshin, I’m at a point of “look, the gacha elements are very much inherently going to be predatory on a certain segment of the population, and there’s no way around that.”

Problem is I’m not sure what one can do beyond treatment/some amount of regulation. Like, absolutely parents

I mean they are a company that employees women, so you know they do have a stake in their health and well being. Also the men working at that company most likely have mothers, sisters, wives, etc that they care about.

I think I was about 40 minutes into the game and I just had to stop and check the rating. I noticed it immediately, and I can completely appreciate it. It was the little things, like ‘dragon dookie’, but the general presentation felt more ‘cultivated’ in the sense that there was more thought put into how to make the

I’m not a Twitch user, but she’s obviously smart as hell.

She’s treating this all the way a smart pro athlete does — she’s got a certain window to use her youth and good genes to make money and is rolling it forward against the day that the youth gives out.

Good for her. If people don’t like her content, don’t consume

This concept feels like something the series would’ve done back in its heyday, maybe not so much now.

Hey, if you’re enjoying yourself, embrace it.  Not everything needs to be a masterclass in storytelling and/or gameplay.  If you like this train wreck, you’re not hurting anybody.  Load up the next trolley and let ‘er ride!

I was talking to a friend about this exact thing. It’s always “oh man, Kirby games are so cute and kiddie, they’re so easy too” from the people who don’t play them, and... yeah, yeah they are... but then you get to the last boss, who is invariably a Lovecraftian nightmare being and puts up a (relatively) decent fight.

“This is like the... I’ve lost count time I’ve killed and eaten god.”

I know a lot of folks thought it was weird in Smash Bros Ultimate when Kirby is the last remaining hero that must then save everybody and take on the extradimensional horror that has ruined the world.

Where do you take a series that already has a beginning (SS), middle messy part (OoT timeline split), and end (BotW1/2)?
