Goddamnit. This art makes me Feel Things™.

Exactly. They have so much potential and there’s always going to be a market for them. Some of those games have only grown since launching like Rust, Minecraft and Valheim (of which I put 100 hours into within the first three weeks).

Yeah people are acting like Rust, Ark, Don’t Starve, The Island, Fortnite, Minecraft, Valheim, DayZ were/are not all BIG sellers. And they are mostly indie. I can’t imagine a big company like Blizzard not being able to absolutely dominate in that market if they set their mind to it.

The Blizzard Way is to take a genre that everyone says has been “done,” strip it down to its best elements and polish the crap out of it. “Everyone” was over MMOs, Team Fortress-style games, etc., before Blizzard released their takes on them.

Huh? Survival games are still huge on steam.

I’ll take survival over Battle Royale any day.

“In the current content wars, it seems like a good bet that Sony’s back catalog will end up natively playable on PS5 at some point.”

I don’t know who Hideo Kojima pissed off at Konami but they sure can hold a grudge. Considering that all Konami does anymore is milk its old franchises, I can’t think of any other reason why there isn’t a pricey MGS compilation on every current console.

Oh, to play MGS4: Guns of the Patriots again... I’ll buy it gladly - just let me play it SOMEWHERE on modern hardware.

I mean there's also the fact you can play them entirely offline if you wish to. You miss out on some features sure but the nature of those features makes them difficult to replicate as an offline component. It's just silly to shout about single player games needing to be offline when the servers being down don't stop

It’s hard to say they ignored it when it's entirely possible the message just failed to get through. Unless you have a direct line to someone at a big company, and this is a Japanese company as well, you're gambling on whoever is monitoring the public lines of communication to actually recognise your message and take

Spoken like someone who's never played a Souls game and doesn't know what they're talking about.

Dark Souls isn’t only a single player game. You can choose to play offline if you want single player, but multiplayer is an important part of the game and part of what made the series unique.

Also, Troy subsequently indicated that he wouldn’t license HIS voice for an NFT. This is just taking advantage of people new in the industry.

Rob Paulsen and Tara Strong also on the NFT grift. What is it with VO actors and get rich quick schemes?

The more gameplay I see of this game the more it turns me off of it. Gamefreak finally does what fans had wanted for awhile, but typical to their current method they put the least amount of effort into things.

Considering the last FF: Tactics came was in 2008 (iirc), yeah... it’s probably safe to say that Fire Emblem would probably be fresher in most game audience’s minds for comparison’s sake.

Keeping the focus from him was definitely the right call. But it’s sad that he himself ultimately felt the need to divulge his injury just because some of us can’t take a delay because we’re so childishly entitled and toxic.

Yoshida is a lot more transparent than a lot of other devs, from what I’ve seen. We’ll get little nuggets of what’s going on, but it’ll be pretty brief; in contrast, a lot of times when stuff changes with FFXIV, Yoshida ends up explaining what the issues are and the reasons why they can’t be fixed right away. It’s

Yea same. 4 had a legitimately great story and you were curious to see what came next and what twist was around the corner
